Radar (Fawcett comics)
I've only read the first two stories, but I just don't know what to make of this guy.
It's 1944, and he's a private and he and some fellow soldiers are putting on a show. He's something of a clown (in terms of sense of humor). Then he discovers a Nazi spy:
Yep - it never occurred to him to that his abilities might be phenomenally useful in fighting the war. Nor, apparently, did it occur to him to use them to get rich. He entertains (at least recreationally), since his family have always been entertainers.
So, after Captain Marvel destroys the missiles, he's discharged from the military and recruited by the international police. He doesn't seem to long for any other sort of life. He doesn't seem to have any tactical or detective-y skills so far - with his mind-reading and "radar vision" (seems rather like remote viewing) and strength, he doesn't really need them. I don't know if he stays that way - with powers to do everything and him not really putting thought into any of it, it's not that interesting, so I haven't yet read any more issues, though I will probably check out a couple more. The most appealing part is the humor of how blase he is about it all.
