Is DJ Ezra?

So I know we’re all thinking/hoping/expecting Benicio Del Toro’s DJ character in Star Wars: The Last Jedi to actually be Ezra from Star Wars Rebels. There’s been a picture circulating of a picture of him during a SW panel with two little scars under his right eye. Speculation ran rampant that the picture was flipped and they were under his left eye, just like our favorite blueberry.

Well, it looks like the picture wasn’t flipped:

Now of course this doesn’t mean much. I mean, look at Saw Gerrera! In the series his eyes were a very light blue and that didn’t carry over into Rogue One. So maybe it’s just one of those tiny inconsistencies between animated and live action...

I'm looking at Hera here and getting the feeling that this might be a flashback. Maybe the scenes involving Thrawn and Ryloth are something that happened in the past. The Ryloth uprising would only be still around because Thrawn got called away early and wasn't allowed to finish the job. Would go with the way she says his name in the trailer, if she had more direct history. Might also have contributed to her seeing the bigger picture beyond just the Ryloth uprising.
