Selectively Gender Swap Deltarune Post 1: Femme Rouxls Kaard! The Duchess of Puzzles

GSDR!Lore for Duchess of Puzzle+Design Explanation: In this world, the Duchess of Puzzles is just as incompetent and impulsive as she is in canon with minor exceptions. She lurks nearby in every adventure, seeing any new powerful Darkner as potential marks for her career advancement. Rather than a regular military uniform, she sports a wealthy cavalry leaders attire with a riding crop and heeled boots. She aims to visually impress and impose her position and status, commanding attention before it becomes clear her sparkling accessories are a facade for someone who does not know what they are doing and is desperate for recognition. Her attempts to flirt with power are only tolerated because she ruins her own plans. If only her ability to change the laws of any battlefield in her favor could be applied to more Serious matters, maybe she'd get the attention and title she feels she deserves.

Quick side by side comparison of how I handle the two designs as of 2026, OG Rouxls would also have less color in his design with the focus being white+one shade of blue only aside from his mouth.

I'd like you all to meet my personal Spamtenna Pipis-Daughter Fan Kid:

C'Merciliza!

If the Toby Fox-Pun Naming convention wasn't enough of a hint, she's an Addison; Specficaly a TV commercial or jingle. She hatched whistling her father-s theme songs and is made of a vaguely blurry white light that is the combination of red-green-blue light layers inside her that can adapt to any screen she's shown on. She has a flower that grew over one of her eyes that resembles a different blossom on color, but behaves almost like a piece of symmetrical vector art rather than a 3D-model.

While she seems fairly unassuming and sweet, much like her RGB body outline, something about Merci is every so slightly off in a way few Darkners can really explain...maybe her hatch-day being only after decades of strange tensions and warping worlds has something to do with it, as she seems to see the world through a surreal lens.

This image board is all the things I did to develop her, in future posts all her design elements and key features will be consitsent and talked about more. For now please enjoy my first ever fan-baby, I'm so excited to talk about her but I'm also a liiiittle shy lol. Lets hope she finds some friends out there!
