I’ve finally figured out that the reason Peppermint won’t leave me alone when I try to read at night/late evening is because he wants me to sit out in the living room while he sleeps. Pats are nice and he’s not going to turn them down, but really he just wants to be in the same room as somebody.

(The living room is apparently his room…? Still unsure as to why, with a few sporadic and brief exceptions, my room is not a valid location to hang out in.)

Just found out that me and my sister’s cat Peppermint was at the Humane Society for 7 months before we adopted him. He was so scared that they had him on gabapentin for 5 of those months. ;-;

He can be a little devil sometimes, but I’m so glad we were able to finally give him a home where he feels safe and loved.
