I actually finished the picture from my previous post! It only took 18 hours according to the video timelapse😬. Here’s Peppino meeting a weird clone from the War level, who is grey for some reason, like Fake Peppino’s copies. I guess he is technically my own character, so far I’ve just been calling him Greypino for fun. Flat coloured version + a bonus picture below:

ok fellas I may be going insane but uhh (nose update spoilings beneath cut ^_^)

I was thinking about how like, unless you count the noiseys and Noisette, the Noise only has one doppelganger- the Doise. Even if Noisette + the noiseys do indeed count as doppelgangers, they're friendly to Noise- in contrast with his rival Peppino, who has too many doppelgangers to count in the peppibots and peppiclones, fake peppino and his many copies, his antagonistic brother Maurice and crazy cousin(I know they're his family and they're supposed to look like him but bare with me), And Peddito, all of which at the very least don't help him, and otherwise are very much adversaries who intend harm against him.

I thinks maybe it is worth noting that the peppiclones from WAR and the peppibots are manufactured- cheap, expendable copies of not only the original, but each other as well. Maybe noise does have a parallel to those in manufactured merchandise of his likeness- I don't find it hard to imagine toys and clothes and more branded with the gremlin's anchor-shaped mug- but even so, barring a batch of electric toys gone rogue, they, like the noiseys and Noisette, are on his side.

The Doise is the only noise-alike who stands against him. The background of his boss arena looks cerebral- pink everywhere besides where strange imitations of the copycat's face resemble neurons- battle within the mind? Strange alternative dimension? Or, just really weird decor?

Perhaps, like how the Doise is the only adversarial noise-alike, maybe Peddito is the only Peppino knock-off who hasn't really bothered Peppino. The only place we ever see Doise and Peddito outside of Doise's boss fight is in the background of Pizza Scare- where they are just heads. So, we know they're linked- presumably in a similar way to the rivally duo they're copies of.

Maybe, with this info, and the assumption that the Noise fears death, we could guess that, after fighting the Doise and watching him be carried off by a weirdly-dressed, eyeless Peppino, then returning only to be greeted by the Doise's rotting, fly-swarmed, festering corpse, he grows to be a little more wary around Peppino. After all, who's to say he couldn't do the same to him?
