i love the dynamic that Peppino and Doise have, at least in the way i see them

yes, Doise is as much, if not more of a chaotic gremlin than Noise is. but he is less.. let's say destructive? he's depressed, he's a little coward, but he masks all his problems by acting smug, and as if nothing can harm him. once someone really gets to know him, he cares deeply for them and their well-being, and he is more open to showing his vulnerable side

i think while him and Peppino both suffer from depression (and they're both touch starved but i think i elaborated on that already some time ago), Doise is always eager to cheer Pep up when he's down. he momentarily shoves his own problems to the side just to make Pep smile a little bit. Peppino appreciates his efforts, even if he would sometimes rather be alone at the moment. and he, like Doise, also at least tries to cheer Doise up when he needs some closeness, even if he's not too comfortable at the moment for cuddles or something similar. he at least offers to hold his hand, and Doise always takes what he can get. he appreciates it even more cause he knows Pep is somewhat uncomfortable with touch

they both often have nightmares, and over time they bond over telling each other what they dreamt of, and comforting the other. Doise finds that he wakes up less frequently from nightmares when Pep is holding him in his sleep (or when sandwiched between Pep and Gus but i'm focusing on him and Pep rn)

while Peppino is not as much of a fan of PDA, when Noise is around the bets are off. Doise and Pep love the reaction they get from Noise when he sees them holding hands or cuddling or even kissing. they think it's funny how confused and, dare i say, jealous he becomes. i mean, his knockoff is getting more attention than him, what gives? HE'S Peppino's rival, HE'S supposed to get the attention, not this blue faker!
