If you had to/wanted to put together a Lemons car, how do you think you’d go about doing it?

omg i’ve been dying to do lemons. nowadays it’s tough to find even a non-running car for under $500 so it’s harder now than it used to be, but i would probably root around facebook marketplace for something that runs or almost runs but can’t be street legal, like something that doesn’t go into reverse or doesn’t have a catalytic converter or has body damage. derby cars, that sort of thing. as it is now i don’t have the skill money time or ability to build an actually competitive car, so i’d be going for something functional but mostly entertaining. like i’d be more in the realm of speedycop’s upside down camaro or that titanic limo over the like superlight miata built by like engineers and scientists. ideally i would be able to finish the race but i’d be in it for the silliness

Every time I post something related to work I think… did I ever actually explain what I’m doing to my tumblr dot com friends…. I guess I didn’t but I will now!!

I’m on a conservation crew!! My particular organization partners with Americorps which means I’m serving my country 🫡 by building hiking trails :) We’re a crew of six and we build and maintain trails at a national park site—digging tread, dealing with rocks in all sorts of ways, managing water flow, repairing damaged paths, etc. It’s exhausting work most weeks but my arms are ripped now

3. What’s something you read recently and wanted to argue with (either with the book or the author or the fans)?

I've read about a dozen Stephen King novels this year and I'm in a state of constant of wanting to fight either him or, more often, his fans or, most often, his detractors. No one understands him like I do (including him) and everyone is annoying (including him)

12. What book have you re-read most often?

I used to reread Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven a lot, and What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami is something I grab every couple months when I need the inspiration. Beckett's trilogy has become a sort of meditative exercise for me. But I really do not reread anything very much, I feel guilty "wasting" time on stuff I've already read when there's so much out there I want to get to

Not too much besides the race!! We usually see a Broadway show or hit a couple museums but I’m trying to do as little as possible today and tomorrow lol. I think we’re mostly trying new restaurants this time but I doooo always love a bagel from Zucker’s
