Maraming mga pangyayari sa ating buhay na hindi man lang natin inakala na mangyayari. Maaaring masaya ito o malungkot. Ngunit sa kuwento kong ito, gusto kong i share ang feeling na dreams really do come true at mararamdaman mo ang di maipaliwanag na kasiyahan lalo't alam mo na you really worked hard and did everything you can para maabot yun. Last September 14, 2014, nasabi ko sa sarili ko na wala pala talagang imposible basta may pananalig ka sa Diyos kasabay ng aksyon dahil totoo nga na nasa Diyos and Awa ngunit nasa Tao ang Gawa. Ang araw na nabanggit ko ay ang araw na nakilala at nakausap sa personal ang ultimate celebrity crush ko na si JULIA BARRETTO.
Ngunit bago ko ipagpatuloy ang pamamahagi ko, let's take a look kung paano at kung anu-ano ang mga ginawa ko upang makita ang aking ultimate crush na si Julia. Isa lang ang masasbi ko, hinid ito naging madali ngunit IT'S WORTH IT. Isang araw, napadaan ako sa 7-eleven convenience store na malapit sa aming university dito sa Naga. To make the long story short, nabigla ako ng makita ko ang standee ng picture ni Julia Barretto na may hawak na Pepsi Bottle. Dahil sa isa akong Marketing Student, inisip ko agad na maaring isa itong Public Relations campaign. Na-curious talaga ako sa standee at nakita ko ang caption na nakasulat sa bottom right part at ito yun: "Grab a Pepsi and pose with me for a chance to win cool prizes! Upload your photo on facebook, instagram or twitter with #PepsiStandfie and tell us why you want to meet me". In short, na confirm ko by that time na PR campaign nga yun ng Ppesi pumunta agad ako sa malapit na computer shop at vinisit ko yung website regarding the Pepsi Standfie Promo para basahin yung mechanics. 2 days after noon, nagpapicture ako sa friend ko katabi yung standee ni Julia. Unfortunately, hindi natanggap yung first two entries ko dahil nagpapicture akong may hawak na magazine ni Julia. Nawala sa isip ko na bawal pala magsama ng ibang brands. As a result, nag try ako uli for the third time and fortunately, natanggap na yung entry ko. Nung officially accepted na yung entry ko, of course happy talaga ako. Mas naging hopeful ako na maaaring isa ako sa sampung posibleng mananalo ng grand prize which is the meet and greet event kay Julia. Isa nga pala sa criteria sa contest ay ang caption at sa tingin ko, isa ito sa edge ko compared to other competitors. Hayaan nyong i-share ko ang exact caption na nilagay ko:
"3rd entry attempt for Pepsi Standfie: It all began in the month of May 2013 when I passed by a magazine stand and saw a MEG magazine which showed a new, fresh and beautiful young lady named Julia Barretto on the cover. I was in complete awe upon seeing her face and as I opened the magazine, it seems to be that all angles in photography compliments her natural beauty. After that, obviously, I started to have a crush on her and I began collecting some magazines wherein she's on the cover. I was really surprised when I read some of her interviews on those magazines because we shared some things in common and the way she answered was undoubtedly smart. I was really surprised to discover that she liked so much the movie "A Walk to Remember" and the band "Rascal Flatts" for I do love them too. Moreover, I was really fascinated to know that she dreams to have her own clothing company someday which is in line with her passion for fashion. I am also inclined into fashion and I also share the same dream of having my own apparel store. I am currently a Marketing Management student in my senior year and I really look forward to be, hopefully, her business partner in the future. In addition, I intentionally bought an ABS-CBN mobile sim just to make sure that I don't miss an episode of her teleserye entitled "Mirabella". I was a bit sad that it ended so soon. However, I would like to thank PEPSI for giving me and a lot of her fans a hope to see her in person for it would be a dream come true. I wish all who joined this contest a good luck and God speed! Moreover, noong araw mismo na pinost ko ang picture ko sa instagram, na shock ako ng mag comment mismo si Julia Barretto (using her official instagram account named @juliabarretto) at ni-like nya pa ang photo ko with her standee. Syempre pa, super saya ko noon na para bang nasa cloud 9 ako. Heto pala yung screenshot sa phone ko with her comment:
Two weeks after ma post ko ang picture, 7pm ng Lunes, may biglang tumawag sa phone ko na number na hindi registered. Noong una, hindi ko sinagot kasi normal yun sa atin na hindi natin pinapansin ang caller na unregistered sa phonebook natin. Ngunit napansin ko na panay ang tawag so nung sixth ring ng phone ko, sinagot ko na. In short, boses ng babae ang tumatawag at ito yung sinabi nya (yun nga lang di ko na gaanong matandaan ang exact words na sinabi nya pero nandito naman yung thought): "Am I speaking to Mr. Marc Paul Dimabayao?" Sabi ko: "Yes ma'am, who's on the line?". Reply niya: "This is Ms. _______ from BBDO Guerrero and we are the advertising agency of Pepsi Philippines. Sir...I would like to congratulate you are one of the grand prize winners for the #PepsiStandfie promo and you are entitled to meet Julia Barretto in person together with your two chosen friends or family members. Are you available on September 14?" For 20 seconds, na stun talaga ako nung sinabi niya yun. Sagot ko: "OMG!Yes ma'am, I'll be available on the 14th. Where would be the venue of the meet and greet event?" Di ko na tatapusin yung naging conversation namin ni Ma'am ____, hehehe. Ang mahalaga, nalaman ko na in just a few days e magkikita na kami ng aking ultimate crush.
