My interpretation using Idolm@ster's Yokusuku cover. (Without permission...yet, @Idolm@ster- do u mind? I'll pull the sample if requested.) Anyways, I think I have a cool piano part to this but I recorded it in a dumb way so now I have to piece together each loop through 80 or so measures. On multiple tracks. Arggggggggghhhhhhhh.
Since this is essentially blogging about the music I get to make in my underwear I'll do some crowd-sourcing if possible. I'm trying to figure out where to go next with this WIP. I think I like the synth/rhythmic backing. I def like the guitar's sound quality but I'm not sure if I should re-record the guitar track. I wasn't going for a final take when I recorded this one. Should I go more electro/dance with this or more noise/rock. I suppose it will take some experimenting in multiple directions before I find an answer (unless I really like the first experiment). Any thoughts or suggestions? In the meantime I'm going to practice some hard bop.
Compiled a fresh batch of recordings. 4+ hrs., 22 songs and counting-many of them featuring Rhodes piano but spanning multiple genres. There's a couple in the mix that are extended, experimental pieces that might possibly make for a good film score (or meditation music)? Let me know what kind of Rhodes sound and/or tunes you enjoy the most. Glad to be sharing again. Thanks for listening.
