Percy Brightstar Commission Sheet April 2025
GENERAL INFORMATION
Percy Brightstar lives up to his surname. Cheerful and gregarious, he hides the fact that he is one of the Sword Coast’s most dangerous criminals beneath a smile, an honorary title, and bright colors. With his emerald green eyes, smooth-talking mouth, and elvish good looks that speak to a life outdoors (bronze skin, sun-kissed hair), Percy often charms his way in and out of situations. He’s a swashbuckler rogue with a dip in bard and he’s an absolute menace. There’s a little Robin Hood, a little Scarlet Pimpernel in him.
I use Leslie Howard as his live-action faceclaim for tokens. He is paler than I would want Percy to be. Percy is also an elf (stats-wise a high elf, but in game he’s what we call a Guild Elf or Caravan Elf, which means he can be mixed with all sorts of elf subtypes).
MOTIFS
Percy’s clothing is often more brightly colored than the average Victorian man’s. I’d really like his clothing to be a rich, bold blue (sapphire, not navy) with gold accents. I could like a red, a crimson or scarlet… something vibrant. I want to move more into 19th century fashion with unsubtle indicators of fantasy rogue.
Daggers, keys, lockpicking tools… he is a man of action and resourcefulness and these might be good motifs. He is also deeply religious to Erevan Ilesere, the Elven gold of luck and trickery, whose symbol is a nova star with asymmetrical rays.

The shape of these cloaks but not the hats
The brightness and patterns, but maybe not these exact colors. I also like the silhouettes
The Victorian Dandy poses. Look at them serving.
I really like the second one, the idea of setting it up so that it looks like he’s having a normal, indulgent, nobleman portrait painted but the items on the table are daggers, thieves tools, maps, etc. I may want him in day clothes, rather than loungewear, though, because I want him to fit in with the other portraits.

Random Thoughts
I would love it if this art complimented Keres’/contrasted with hers. The fact that I forgot to select background for hers is apparently “perfect” so idk what to do with that when I actually want Percy to have one.
Percy is bright and show offy, but I want there to be whispers of “rogue” no matter what.
I loved the depth/richness of the pink you styled him in last year!
I think his hair may need to be a bit darker than last time… warmer, maybe?
IDK if it matters, but he’s the hottest single dad in Daggerford. At least until Keres accepts his proposal. Just saying.
