YES!! I mean besides the fact that seeing him screw up majorly for once would be really cool and painful, it would also balance out his successes and failures because right now they’re not balanced. Percy just keeps climbing higher and higher, gaining new abilities— people literally think of him as the most powerful demigod—but there has to be a balance for his character to remain realistic. He needs to make a big mistake to balance that out, he needs to fail, and I think that’s what Riordan’s setting up for.
