as if Barça didn’t make me suffer enough I had to go and care for Girona 💔💔😭. This is Pere Pons’ letter to all Girona supporters.
Translation (not the best but enough to understand):
Yesterday was a tough and sad day.
We’ve had a horrible end of season where we got into the hole, into the curb/shit (?)
I want to convey that from the inside of the club I’ve seen great professionals accepting the challenge and understanding that we had to fight until the end for our pride, for respect and for the love to this club.
We’ve always been a club who struggles/suffers, but once again we receive a hard hit, an important lesson, and yet, the ref whistles the end and we raise our heads and the fans are still there, standing and clapping, respects from all of my heart.
If we are in Segunda, it’s because of the mistakes we’ve all made, I assume it first, as one of the captains and I accept all the critics to strengthen myself and better myself as a player and human being.
Cheers (ánimos?) to all Gironís and, next year, each of us will do everything we can to take Girona back to Primera, which is where it belongs.
