You SHOULD read "Like Water for Chocolate" by Laura Esquivel it is probably the best thing I read in college

The less you know the better but please understand if you enjoy anything within fanfiction archtypes or romantic melodrama this book will give you everything and more. Its undefeated in the amount of good time you will have. I cant possibly pick a favorite part.

Although she isnt aware of it the emotions of the main character have a real physical and sometimes magical effect on the ppl that eat whatever she is cooking. Someone eats something spicy she made while she was having honry thoughts and the lust and smoke coming off of her in the shower attracts a group of passing soldiers who scoop her away. Every chapter starts with a real recipe. Her mother is so evil and sucks so bad and you enjoy watching karma punch her over and over. At one point she makes a wedding cake so sad that everyone who eats it is transported back to their saddest memory.

Just put the audio book on and let the ride begin this baby is unforgettable
