Perfect Raizer Deck List
I'm making this more of a Vanguard blog, so I'm going to start posting more and more stuff! So let's get started!
So here is the deck list I use for my Perfect Raizer Nova Grappler deck, the first deck I ever built!
Grade 0s:
1x Battleraizer (Stand and starting Vanguard
3x Three Minutes (Draw)
4x The Gong (Draw)
4x Minimun Raizer (Critical)
4x Ring Girl Clara (Heal)
Grade 1s
4x Tough Boy
4x Raizer Custom
3x Burst Raizer
3x Twin Blader (Perfect Guard)
2x Oasis Girl
Grade 2s
3x Hi-Powered Raizer Custom
3x Transraizer
3x King of Sword
2x Magician Girl Kirara
Grade 3s
4x Perfect Raizer
3x Mr. Invincible
So, the strategy in this deck is fairly straightforward. Getting Raizers on the field for an early game rush to power up Perfect Raizer and get his Critical off, as well as having leftover Raizers to have on the field so he is not at -2000 power. Transraizer is useful for filling up my field through superior calling after I ride to Perfect Raizer. I have a high amount of draw triggers to try and fill up my hand, because hand size is usually the biggest weakness of Perfect Raizer builds. Magician Girl Kirara is also used for draw power, and is the only thing that will actively use counterblasts. Mr. Invincible acts as my backup Vanguard in case I can't ride Perfect Raizer, and his souls charge ability can give me more counter blasts and helps put Raizers into the soul.
Feel free to leave comments or suggestions. How does it look?
Rise of Raizer
I am really liking raizers lately and I'm going to post a recipe that has been working really well for me. G0 (17) x1 Transmigrating Evolution, Miraioh x4 Battleraizer x4 Minimum Raizer x4 The Gong x4 Wall Boy G1 (14) x4 Burstraizer x4 Jet Raizer x3 Raizer Custom x3 Twin Blader G2 (12) x4 High Powered Raizer Custom x4 Gatling Raizer x4 Transraizer G3 (7) x4 Perfect Raizer x3 Armored Heavy Gunner 35/50 of the cards in this deck are "raizer". More importantly, 31/43 of my G2 or lower units are "raizer", which is more important in order to gather 4 "raizer" units on the field and soul before I ride to G3. Furthermore, 23/26 of my combined G1+G2 units are "raizer", which means there will be very few fights where I don't have at least 2 "raizer" units in the soul by default. I found that, despite most of the raizer units having weak base power, the threat of having 4 in the soul is stronger than ever and early in the game, my opponents will attack my rearguards even with their Vanguard because they are afraid of that extra critical. This helps almost mitigate the low base power your Vanguard will have before you ride to G3, since your opponent is so fixated on your rear guards. Gatling Raizer is basically the 12k G2 attacker for the deck. Rather than a base 9k and gaining +3k when attacking, it has base 8k and gains +4k when attacking if you CB1, which is not a problem in this deck at all because it uses so few counterblasts. It really is a solid addition to this deck and helps with the weak rearguard columns problem since you can put a Battleraizer or Raizer Custom behind this and still make 18k against crossrides, or in general hit 11k base Vanguards very easily. Burstraizer essentially takes the place tough boy would have. It can easily be brought up to 8k or 9k if needed, for CB1. Again, this is optimal in a deck that uses so few counterblasts otherwise. Even if I would prefer to use Gatling Raizer's CB over this, it's handy if I have to boost a Transraizer or High Powered Raizer Custom to reach 16k. Jet Raizer is the newest "raizer" to take the field. It's a solid 7k and finally gives us an alternate way of building up soul if you don't get 4 before you ride Perfect Raizer. In every game I've played with this build so far, I find that I have high success in getting 4 soul, but when I can't I usually have 3 soul instead of 2. I'll admit I rarely have actually used Jet Raizer's skill, but it mostly just does wonders for consistency in riding "raizer" units and to guarantee a block from your opponent if it's boosting a rear guard. Transraizer has weak base attack, but because most of my G1 and G2 are "raizer", if the skill goes off (which it does 50-55% of the time), I get a "raizer" out of it, which is just beautiful. I included Armored Heavy Gunner as a backup to Perfect Raizer. It gets +2k when attacking the Vanguard as a rearguard, and +5k when attacking the Vanguard if it's the Vanguard and you have 4 damage. Honestly, my alternate G3 is probably the thing I'm least sure of when using the deck. But, since I do have a fair amount of 6k Grade 1's and crossrides are everywhere, I find it helps make 18k columns better in the rear guard and 21k+ columns as the Vanguard. I choose to still include High Powered Raizer Custom, Raizer Custom, and Battleraizer in the deck for consistency. They're not terrible units by any means, but because I don't use Battleraizer as a starter, most of the time they're vanilla. I'm OK with this though, since I can just pick away my opponent's rear guards if I can't make good columns myself, and they increase the chance I can get 4 "raizer" in the soul. My starting Vanguard is Transmigrating Evolution, Miraioh, the Nova Grappler G3 searcher. This so far has been invaluable to this deck, which performs optimally with Perfect Raizer. If I can't get Perfect Raizer in my opening hand, this gives me another chance to get it. The benefits far outweigh the risk and even if I have a Perfect Raizer already, I can form 16k columns with Gatling Raizer or Armored Heavy Gunner - which is a very solid number. Not to mention, I only use 7 G3's. Getting grade locked in a "raizer" deck means pretty much an instant loss, since everything can hit 18k-19k so easily, whereas other builds might be able to come back depending on the situation. Overall, it seems like the meta is lately full of 11k Vanguards. That means making 16k columns regularly is essential. Raizers used to have problems doing this, but with the recent support, this has become less of a problem. I can make 16k columns or higher often enough to make this deck work. Also, it's very easy to always have at least 1 "raizer" unit on the field. There was always the risk of losing that 2k base power for Perfect Raizer if you didn't have another "raizer" on the field, but that problem has become pretty much been resolved barring you don't face something like lawkeeper which rarely sees the light of day anymore. Nevertheless, I am still looking for ways to improve the deck. Ideas I'm still tossing around are: -Using 2-3 Street Bouncer instead of Transraizer, to increase field presence more reliably early on. I could always put Miraioh behind it, and then use the skill after it's rested. -8 criticals intead of 4. The sooner your opponent gets to 3-4 damage, the more fun you can have with this deck. Having more than 4 criticals would more easily prevent my opponent from accessing limit break. I could pick at their rear guards while they are at 3 damage, and force them to take a 2 crit Vanguard attack that can potentially turn into a 3 crit and game finishing attack. With the crazy limit break skills lately, this might be a valid option. However, I would want to remove Battleraizer in favor of keeping draws. Still, without Battleraizer, High Powered Raizer Custom and Raizer Custom turn into 8k and 6k vanillas 100% of the time, which I'm unsure if I'm comfortable with or not yet. I still do call Battleraizer on occassion. -Are there better alternate G3's to ride when you cannot ride Perfect Raizer...? A lot of the better G3's that were released recently for Nova Grapplers are limited to their archtypes. I strongly feel break rides do not fit in with the theme, structure, and balance of this specific deck type. Any advice is appreciated. I'm having a great time using this deck and raizers are more consistent now than they ever were before. In fact, I'd go so far as to say raizers can be competitive now, though definitely not on the level of Chaos Breaker or Eradicators. We technically only need 1 G0 (heal trigger), 1 G1, and 1 G3 to be able to make a 100% themed "raizer" deck, but for now this support is very doable. Speaking of Chaos Breaker dragon, this deck in particular holds its own against it. Since Link Joker cannot do anything early in the game, and relies on mid to late game for the lock to get going, and they cannot retire anything in the meantime, I can pull off 4 soul against Link Joker pretty consistently. Yes, it's always difficult when your front row is locked, but Perfect Raizer is one of the few Vanguards that can reach 23-26k on its own, and combined with the critical this deck can still fight back while your units are locked.
