think i like emmerdale’s writing sm bc a lot of references/parallels/seemingly meaningful lines (who marries their dad etc) a lot will ofc be just incidental, it’s a big long show etc, but you also can never put it past them, like they do do stuff, but you don’t know When and that’s why it’s fun, i find assured good writing kinda boring i wanna a) feel like i’m discovering stuff myself even if i’m not and b) feel like i’m crazy for noticing and/or believing things, and it’s just perfect for that. the writers are schrödinger’s tapped in or whatever
