Selene is the child of Cilan and Aria. She’s a perfect mix of both of their personalities, having Cilan’s passionate nature but also his calm, collected and formal side and Aria’s bright personality as well as her energetic and cheerful nature. Much like Cilan she’s a great cook and will often help out in the restaurant along with her father and her uncles. She’s also great with creating performances like her mother. However, she’s indecisive and doesn’t know if she wants to be a performer like her mom or a connoisseur like her father. She did however pass her connoisseur test and is currently an A-class Connaisseuse. When she’s not cooking with her uncles and father, she’ll evaluate the bond between trainers and Pokemon. That’s how she met Ashley and the others, she evaluated their starter Pokemon and they quickly became friends with each other.
Her main colors would be yellow and green. Yellow represents her optimism and cheerful nature, as well as her creativity and her academical and logical side she inherited from her father as she also believes fact over fiction, she also has some originality as she tries to create her own phrases when evaluating Pokemon and their trainers. However, the yellow also represents how she can over analyze something. Green represents how she emotionally balanced and calm, as well as how she’s family oriented as she prefers to be with her family than with her friends. She also loves nature, as such she loves spending her time outside than inside, she’s sympathetic and compassionate, as well as kind, generous, nurturing and loyal. She’s also dependable, agreeable and a diplomate as she helps others settle any arguments they may have with another person. Her shade of green would be Jade green as it represents her diplomatic side and her generosity as she does things without thinking about getting something out of it, and will humbly decline any kind of reward for what she does unless someone is insistent, she’d also wear Emerald green as it represents how she’s inspiring and uplifting.
When evaluating a Pokemon and their trainer she’ll use examples from nature, such as ‘Your love or your Pokemon is like the fire you have when you’re camping, comforting and warming with a bit of protection. You two are clearly a perfect match~’ Or ‘Your dream is like the sparkling stars at night and they shine brightly, reach for the stars that shine brightly like you and your partner!’
Her Pokemon:
Braixen- Selene always admired her mother’s Delphox and how she can perform in showcases, so when she was given the choice she got a Fennekin that later evolved into a Braixen. Braixen is much like her trainer, cheerful and energetic, as well as being interested in performing. She loves to dress up with Selene and creating performances in their free time together. She likes being groomed by her trainer and loves to look her best.

Moves are Flamethrower, Psychic, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Fire Spin, Will-O-Wisp, Light Screen, Wish, Shock Wave and Psyshock.
Roserade- Selene was evaluating a trainers Pokemon team but when she got to the trainers Roserade, she saw a kind of rift in their bond. She saw how nervous and upset Roserade looked and she asked the trainer how did he feel about that Roserade, the trainer then said he found her useless as all she does is dance more than battle and he finds it annoying. Selene responded that he could release Roserade and she’ll be in her care while he can go find a different Pokemon to replace her and she recommended a few Pokemon he could choose from. He agreed and let Selene have Roserade. Roserade was a shy Pokemon but she loved to dance and use her moves as she’s dancing, she was unsure if she wanted to be with Selene but she later warmed up to her.
She has an orange scarf around her neck that she values very much as Selene gave it to her to show her their friendship.
Mothim- Selene had caught a Burmy and she wasn’t sure if she got a male or a female. She got her answer when he evolved into a Mothim. As a Burmy, Mothim was a bit of a glutton and only really wanted to eat anything he would find, mostly honey. When he evolved he lost his gluttony and started taking an interest in performing alongside with his trainer. He’s a loyal and playful Pokemon, though he will get distracted by honey or any kind of pollen from flowers or berries.

Moves are Quiver Dance, Giga Drain, Hidden Power (Rock), Silver Wind, Acrobatics, Air Slash, Flash, Psychic, Shadow Ball and Tailwind.
Emolga- Selene had found Emolga while it was snowing and saw how cold she was getting, so she picked her up and brought her back home so she can warm up. She had made some soup for Emolga and wrapped her in a blanket to make her comfortable, once she was feeling better and she would let Emolga be on her way once the snow stopped. After a while, Selene and Emolga went back to where she was found and Emolga flew back to her tree. Soon after, Emolga would visit Selene and play with her until she had to fly back to her tree. One day Emolga came to Selene injured and ready to faint, she used the medical knowledge she learned from her father and healed her and learned that Emolga’s tree was taken over by a group of Pokemon she couldn’t beat, so she had nowhere else to go. Selene then offered her to be her Pokemon, Emolga agreed in a heartbeat. Emolga is a sweet Pokemon that enjoys flying around, however she hates touching the ground and would always land on a tree, a tree stump or a rock than land on the ground. She also likes to be helpful, so she’ll use her ability to fly to grab anything high on a shelf.

Moves are Quick Attack, Charge, Spark, Nuzzle, Acrobatics, Discharge, Iron Tail, Air Slash, Attract and Charge Beam.
Slurpuff- Selene was working in the kitchen one day and just saw a Slurpuff drooling while looking at the food, so Selene went out to give him some food. This became a rinse and repeat routine until Selene caught Slurpuff, he didn’t really mind being caught. Slurpuff loves to eat, but he’s very picky and will only eat food given to him by Selene, Cilan, Chili and Cress. Because of his sense of smell, he goes with Cilan, Chili, Cress or Aria to pick the freshest ingredients for cooking and baking.

Moves are Fairy Wind, Sweet Scent, Cotton Spore, Cotton Guard, Play Rough, Wish, Psychic, Light Screen, Aromatherapy and Play Nice.
Ambipom- Selene met Ambipom while she was looking for berries for a recipe, Ambipom helped her out by showing her where the berries are and even helped her gather them. Selene thanked the Ambipom and went on her way. Selene soon met up with Ambipom again to give her a sample of what she made with the help of the berries she had helped her gather, she loved in and soon they had developed a friendship and Ambipom was caught. Ambipom knows a lot about fruits, berries and herbs so she’ll always be with the family to show them which one is the best for any recipe they want to try. Because of her tails she also helps with carrying the groceries, mostly the heavy ones. She loves Selene and will very often wraps both of her tails around her and squeezes her, thankfully not too tightly.

Her held item is a Silk Scarf, which powers her Normal type moves.

Performance time first meeting idea: Dento is mistaken for one of the new waiters at a cafe/restaurant by an inexperienced manager who saw him outside and thought he was slacking off. The place is totally swamped with people so Dento decides to play along for now. Especially since the table the guy asked him to wait on is currently occupied by this beautiful red haired woman. Dento gives Ellena(Elle) his undivided attention the while time she’s there and she is charmed by him. Elle asks his name at the end so she can tell the owner how amazing his service was. Dento reveals he doesn’t actually work there and is a traveling pokemon sommelier. Elle asks Dento to tell her more so Dento ducks out of the restaurant and the two walk off into the sunset

Leo was adopted by Dento and Elle Reid from the Aluria Children’s Home (on Nacrene City) when he was 4 years old (and Charlotte 6). His biological parents’ whereabouts remain unknown but it’s assumed they were one of the victims of the very first Inferius attack.
Little doodle cos I got feels about the Reid family lately. So here’s tiny Charlotte bullying dad Dento a la Cabernet. Elle ended up being the nurturing mother everyone expected her to be, but she has a hard time applying discipline you know hah, specially with this little demon.

Some notes on the AU in case you have no idea what this anime is to make this crossover oneshot easier to follow
Elle was once the Kalos Queen but had her title taken from her for reasons unknown to her and treated horribly; kicked out of the Performers Association. Even though Unova was considered more violent and not refined as Kalos she fled there feeling she could never show her face in Kalos again. It turns out she has the ability to turn into a Delphox. This is to of course parallel Atsushi’s story of being kicked out of an orphanage and can turn into a white tiger.
Elle is not Atsushi personality wise at all so it was a little hard to fit her in, instead I went with lost confidence after losing her title but finding her confidence once again.
The Port Mafia who isn’t mentioned in this fic is Team Plasma. Dento was once in the Shadow Triad which was a part of Team Plasma, to parallel Dazai who was once in the Port Mafia
The one thing I’m very uncomfortable with in this show is the suicide attempts and jokes on it, but that’s because I myself used to be suicidal. But it’s also a major part of Dazai’s character. So I changed it to Dento’s hobbies getting him almost killed all the time.
I tried to fit everyone else into the cast but some roles such as Naomi’s insane crush on her brother was also changed because well you’ll see

Elle sat up and looked around her new surroundings scratching at her head. After being kicked out of the Performer Association as the Kalos Queen no less, she couldn’t show her face in her home region anymore. So she fled to Unova, to start her life over but after a strange twist of events she ended up being taken in by the Unova Armed Detective Agency.
“I still can’t believe I have the ability to turn into a Pokemon…” She sighed, “ Actually I can’t believe anyone with supernatural powers would actually exist.”
She jumped as a cell phone somewhere in the room went off and frantically turned the whole room upside down in order to find it. Thankfully she got it right as it was about to stop ringing.
“Hello?”
“Good morning!”
“Oh, good morning!” She smiled and held the receiver tight to her cheek. “Did you leave the phone here for me, that’s really nice of you but you didn’t have to do that.”
“Think nothing of it!” The man on the other line laughed, “You also have a change of clothes if you look around but…we didn’t really have anything with a feminine flavor. My apologies.”
She shook her head, “No, don’t apologize. Your kindness is more than enough thank you.”
“Anything for our new member!”
She winced. She met two members of the agency the other day and since she had a supernatural power as well, one of them automatically decided she was a part of the agency now. But… “Listen about that-“
“Can you meet me outside, Elle?”
“Eh?”
“I have a bit of an emergency and I could really use your help.”
“Leave it to me!”

“You know Dento, when you asked for help this uh…wasn’t what I was expecting…”
“I wanted to see the trains up close! As a metro sommelier it’s always been my dream! So I thought being near the train tracks would give me the best opportunity to see a rare train pass by!”
“Wait. I thought you were a fishing sommelier?” When she first met the eccentric green haired male he was drowning in a river, after trying a new fishing technique, forgetting he had no idea how to swim. He certainly was a character wasn’t he?
“I’m both a metro and a fishing sommelier!” He puffed his chest proudly and then looked at her concerned, “But I’m stuck…and I think a train will come soon.”
She sighed and tried to unhook his coat from the tracks, it was really latched in “There.”
“Thank you!”
“Next time maybe try a different outfit? I don’t want to discourage your hobby of train watching but if I hadn’t been around…”
He laughed, “I know I know.”
“Hey um…” She sighed and kicked her feet lightly, it was now or never. “I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I want you and your agency to know I appreciate and am thankful you want me to join you, but I think it’s a bad idea. I mean…” She put a hand to her heart and looked at him determined. “I have the ability to turn into a Delphox but I can’t control the ability either. I could really end up hurting you guys! Not to mention the trouble I could put you in if I go on another rampage.”
“Well yes that is a possibility.”
“I can’t be much help like that I’d get in the way of your work. I appreciate your offer but I think I’m better suited for some other job, using the skills I know I do have. You know like what Performers do! As the former Kalos Queen anything with that skill set I’d be perfect at!”
“Hmm…I see.” Dento tapped his chin. “Why don’t you come to the agency with me Elle? I know someone there who might be able to help you.”
“Really?”
“Mmhm. Since our agency is so well know we have connections.” He waved his hand, “I’m sure they would know the right person to get you a job.”
“Oh thank you!” She clasped her hands together over his and gave off her once famous smile.
“There might be a test involved however.”
“I promise if it’s what I’m good at I can handle it with ease.” She winked.
“Good!” He cackled, “After all I am Dento~ The one and only who the agency trusts and the populace adores!”
“Is that so?” For some reason she felt kinda nervous.
“There you are, Dento!” A male with black hair and red glasses stomped over in rage coming out of one of the alleyways.
“Cheren?”
“More like the one and only one who we get complaints about!”
“Excuse me?” He crossed his arms, “Since when?”
Cheren opened his book and started reading, “Last week. Could you get one of your employees, he somehow got himself into one of the museum exhibits.”
“Well…“
“A month ago. Some weirdo is running around in a funny costume trying to be a superhero is he one of yours?”
“T-That’s impossible!” He grinned, eyes shinning. “Who knew you were so great at imitating other people Cheren!”
“Are you mocking me?!”
Elle stood there nervously and watched the two fight it out, was taking his help really the best idea?
Cheren shook his head, “I wasted a whole minute dealing with this idiot. But we need to get to the agency as soon as possible, we have an emergency!”
“Oh?”
“A bomber has a hostage and holed himself up in our office.”
“What?!” Elle gasped and placed her hands over her mouth. “That’s terrible! Let me help you!”
Cheren led the way as Dento and Elle followed, this would technically be the first time she would set foot in the agency and she declined the job but, she hated seeing people suffer.
“Do we know what he wants?”
“The president and if he doesn’t see him he’ll blow up the office.”
“Mmm and the president is on vacation. That’s unfortunate.”
The fact he was so calm about a potential bomber was slightly unnerving and a little creepy but Elle figured he probably dealt with this sort of thing before being an agent. They headed upstairs to see the scene in front of them.
A red haired male sat on a desk holding a remote, next to him a bomb and his foot was on top of a purple haired female who had her mouth bounded and her body tied up. The rest of the members of the agency fearfully sat on the floor cowering, frozen in fear.
“I demand to see the president!” The red haired male demanded, “If I don’t, I’ll blow everyone up in flames!”
“How about one of you pretend to be the president instead?”
“No good, someone already tried.” Cheren sighed and adjusted his glasses, “He knows what the president looks like.”
Elle but her lip trying to think of some sort of plan.
Dento tapped his chin, “As a science sommelier I understand. If we could somehow cover the bomb even if it explodes that object would take the impact and it would, mitigate the blow. Unfortunately none of us have an object like that…one of us will have to stop him.”
“Who is the girl?” She looked at the poor captive and her heart went out to her, “Does she have any powers?”
“Her name is Iris, a part time office assistant. Sadly she doesn’t have any supernatural ability.”
“He took someone who barely works here?!” She gritted her teeth, “The coward. If I could control my ability…”
“What do you think we should do?”
“There’s only one thing we can do…” Both of them lifted their hands in a fighting stance.
“Use your abilities?” Elle tilted her head.
“1 2 3, Go!”
“Ahaha I win!” Dento motioned his arms outward, “Go go!”
“Or play rock paper scissors…” She would have laughed if the situation wasn’t so dire; Unovans were a breed all their own.
“Dammit.” Cheren glared at the winner and walked over to talk to the bomber
“Stay away.” The bomber held out a remote, “I only want to see the president I know who you are. Cheren, on the table. Hands where I can see them and no funny business.”
Cheren sighed and sat on the table holding his hands out.
“If you think you can get me to let my guard down think again.”
“This isn’t good. He seems to know everything about everyone in the agency. He’s certainly done his research. If I go I’ll provoke him…” Dento tapped his finger on the floor, “What can we do…”
“I can take the hint. I’ll go.” Elle took a deep breath, “I don’t think I’ll be able to do anything but it’s our only option left right?”
He nodded, “All you need to do is distract him. We can take care of the rest. You’re not from Unova. Just be yourself.”
She gulped, “My smile used to make everyone happy. Hopefully this’ll work…”
She walked out from behind the plant and stepped into the limelight once again and with what could be her final time.
“Oh my goodness! You need to stop this! Just what do you think this will accomplish?”
The bombed turned his head to meet her determined gaze. “Who the hell are you? You’re not with the agency.”
“Indeed I’m not. I was searching for another office and wound up here by mistake oops!” She stuck out her tongue and rubbed the back of her head.
“And what does this have to do with you?”
“I’m here to help you.” Her gaze become motherly and she smiled. “I’m here to give back. I know you don’t want to do this.” She put her hands on her heart, “You have people who care about you right? They wouldn’t want it to end like this for you. I bet you’re an amazing person who just happened to make a bad choice. Please.” She held out her hands like she was performing on stage, “You have so much to live for.”
“Like what?!”
“I’m sure deep in your heart there’s something. A place to live, someone to love, a favorite meal. Think hard about it I know you can find it. Sometimes life gets hard I know, sometimes you’re on the top of the world and they take your crown but. It’ll be okay. It will always turn out okay!”
Dento meanwhile crept nearer as she was talking to him impressed.
She walked closer and took the hand that wasn’t holding the remote “Why don’t you toss the bomb aside and come with me. I promise things will get better okay?”
“I-I…”
“Cheren now!”
Cheren jumped off the table and used his ability, turning a page of his book into a wire cuter and knocking the remote away from the bomber. Then he jumped on him and held his hands behind his back.
Elle breathed a sigh of relief that was really close, she felt bad for him. The other agents clapped for their hero.
But the Cheren’s grip wasn’t strong enough as the bomber managed to get free and kicked his hand detonating the bomb as a countdown started.
“Thirty seconds!”
Without even thinking Elle pushed the purple haired girl out of the way and covered the bomb with her own embrace. She didn’t know if this would be enough to stop the force like Dento suggested but it was the only option she had.
“Elle!” Dento looked at her stunned.
“You idiot!” Cheren screamed
She closed her eyes and waited for the impact. Weird it should have happened by now. Slowly she unclenched her body and blinked her eyes open. “Was it a dud?”
“Geez.” Cheren shook his head, “I figured she was stupid but I didn’t know she was that stupid.”
“That’s not stupid you kid, that’s selfless, right Pod?” Iris, who she pushed out of the way was helped out her binds by the…bomber? He turned to Elle next.
“Yeah. Hey uh…sorry about that. Are you okay?”
She was beyond confused, “Huh?”
“Honestly bro, at first I was concerned what you saw in her but I think I see it now. That was really impressive.”
“Except you’re going to be the hostage next time you pain! Considering you were the one who suggested her, ugh why did it have to be me!”
“Everyone was…in cahoots with each other…” She blinked a couple times in confusion.
“Blame Dento.” Cheren sat up and dusted himself off, “Actually blame yourself for picking the wrong person to help you find a job. What kind of moron would accept his help, you were asking for it.”
“This is the…job?”
Dento winked, “I told you there was a test involved.”
“An entrance exam.” An older male walked into the room from the hallway and patted her on the back, “Since Dento said there was a capable young woman I had him put those capabilities to the test.”
“Oh?”
“I recommended you for hire. Because of the danger you could bring to the agency there was some disagreement on whether you should be with us or not. The exact reason you said you didn’t think you could become a member, actually.”
“Well Alder. Now that the exam is complete what do you think?” Cheren adjusted his glasses, “Pod got a little to into it if you ask me.”
“Sorry I was channeling bro’s movie sommelier tendencies to make myself more convincing, heh.”
“I’m fine with it either way, the lovely lady can make the final decision.” He patted her on the back one last time and returned to his quarters.
Everyone’s faces looked at her in anticipation waiting for her response. She looked away. She didn’t want to turn them down but…
“Elle.”
No she couldn’t hide from everyone either. She turned her head to meet the eyes of the person speaking, the one who suggested her.
“You mentioned you wouldn’t be much help and you’d get in the way but that’s not what happened today is it? You weren’t only able to sympathize and calm down someone upset you committed a selfless act of the highest flavor. Not just anyone would use their body to shield a bomb to save everyone.”
“That’s right!” Iris nodded, “You really impressed me, you know.”
“You’ll be fine. But if you refuse we can’t force you.”
It’s true she had a talent, that she couldn’t use. But she had another talent too, the ability to make anyone smile, the help those in need, a caring mentor like personality. A leader. Having her title yanked from her made her forget, forget the inner talent she actually had. She started to laugh, quietly at first but then full blown laugher. Happy. For the first time since leaving Kalos she felt actually happy.
“No wonder he wants her to join, she’s just as crazy as he is…” Iris muttered.
“No one is as crazy as my brother and you know it.”
She took some deep breaths to gain control again and smiled cheerfully. “I’d love to join you if you’d have me.”
Cheren grunted, “As long as you follow the rules, Kalosian.”
“Congratulations!” Iris ran over and nuzzled her cheek, “I’m so excited to be working with you!”
“Yeah, it’ll be great to have a new person on the team!” Pod gave a thumbs up.
“Welcome to the Unovan Armed Detective Agency, Elle, we’re happy to have you!”
“Thank you for believing in me.”
“It’s a good thing too because otherwise you’d have to vacate the company dorm and find a job on your own and who knows how long you’d be able to keep it since you are wanted after all.” He gasped, “You could be killed and-”
She laughed nervously as he continued on. It was true this wasn’t what she expected but after leaving Kalos she wanted a fresh start. And what start was fresher than something she never thought she’d get involved in?
