Buck is having a really hard time dealing with the loss of his leg. He only lets Maddie see the wound and medicate it. He loves Eddie but he doesn't let him touch him at all for weeks/months because he's terrified Eddie will be repulsed by him now that he doesn't have a perfect body anymore. When he finally confesses this Eddie's like 'you're an idiot if you think I loved you because of your body, you're so much more than that'

oh definitely. like, buck just feels so gd lucky to be with eddie that he doesnt want to do anything that could potentially jeopardize that at all. and hes just really self-conscious of the wicked scar hes got on his leg, but since maddie has seen him at his absolute worst, he trusts her enough to see and touch the scar. it takes buck a long time, but eventually he works up the courage to let eddie see And touch the scar, and hes just. so shy about it. and eddie just quietly asks him Why he was so hesitant about letting him see the scar, and after buck finishes explaining, eddie just very gently traces the scar and kisses him gently and tells him “honey. i didnt fall in love with you because of your body. i mean, yeah, sure, i love your body, but this scar doesnt take away from how attracted to you i am. but i fell in love with you because of how sweet and silly you are and how fun it is to talk to you and how much you care about people.” and it just makes buck so gd soft. like, he tears up a little and pulls eddie into a tight hug and kisses him all over his face bc he just. he feels so gd grateful that such an amazing man genuinely cares abt him as much as eddie does

oh my god oh my god ok so like. in the mornings, my mom gives me a ride to school before she drops my younger brother off at daycare (hes three btw). and he like NEVER says goodbye to him, and apparently its bc he doesnt want me to go (which? like?? AW). and just now, i was getting him some milk, and he goes up to me, and hes all “im sorry i didnt say bye” and i? started crying. on the spot. perhaps im soft for him
