Hey. Do you think Hisoka would ever run away from a fight? Like, part of me thinks that if he was bored enough he would just leave, but another part of me thinks that he'd just fight it out (after all he 'believes himself to be the strongest').... Thoughts?

Well, he's known to simply not show up to many fights while he was in Heavens Arena, which points out to the fight that he will avoid confrontation if it isn't stimulating enough. 

Take the Hunter Exam, for example. Almost every time he attacked and killed someone was because said someones did something to him. Yes, he blew a lot of shit out of proportion but the point is that, had the candidates left him alone he probably wouldn't have killed them.

He also gets out of fights where he sees potential but doesn't want to exploit it just yet. 

Would he avoid fighting someone that he considered too powerful?

I don't think so. He did asked Netero for a fight and, considering he already knew Nen by then, dude knew exactly what he was doing. (And let's not pretend that Netero was using zetsu or something because, as we've seen, even the Ryodan are a bit freaked out about Hisoka's ability to just detect people using it)

Would he run out in the middle of a fight with a way too powerful foe?

I don't think so. 

Like, I agree that there might be extenuating circumstances but Hisoka wants to fight powerful people. If someone turns out to be way too powerful for him then he'll go out with a bang.
