This is Perikol and he is from a people in my worldsetting called Sorcentians! Centipeople!
Sorcentians never truly die...if they die they reincarnate as a newborn and have to retry life again...which they actually fine terribly tedious and trying after the first couple of times. The only way they can "die" is to "die" a "truly just" death. What that is, their deity NEVER made particularly clear...
Perikol is on their 5th cycle of reincarnation and decided to become a cleric, which in Sorcentian society, is cursing out their god and trying to denounce them. So Perikol spends their time finding new creative ways to bully their own god by insulting him. The sorcentian people do not appreciate the reincarnation forever and never dying gift....
Perikol is looking to join an adventuring party just so they can maybe find that asshole who killed them the first time and ruined their first life and maybe find a "truly just" death in the process... and also heal people by telling their god to fuck off is always fun.
