Metalcore. Their photos do not match their sound. If I was just getting into metalcore I would probably be more into it, they don't offer anything new--riffs and drums are basic af. About as formulaic as it could ever be. Tastes like every other PB&J you've ever had that you had to make quick and smash on-the-go.

you are the first person I thought about when I was listening to the new Periphery record that just came out. Way different direction than the previous outings they done since P3. I do have to admit that A Pale White Dot might dethrone P3 as their best album to date for me. I also can see why Misha wanted to have a Periphery album under 60 mins, every album and not counting the Juggernaut records are over 60+ mins long. Plus the theme of loneliness does hit pretty hard. This is also Spencer's best vocal performance to date. It's a must listen now if you can. I hope I can get a response after you listen to the album!

ok finally listened to it and yeah this album is fucking awesome. gotta listen all the way through a few more times before I can accurately compare it to their older ones but holy shit. it slaps haha. ty for the reminder to listen!!
