Yep! Many autistic people have an inner set of rules of how things should be and become distressed when these rules are broken. These rules may line up with laws/social rules, but often they are independent rules that have developed over time for the autistic person based on what we learn of the world around us.

Can heat be a stim? One of my earliest memories is of pressing a hot tamale to my face and I feel great hopping into a hot car -periwinklecat

Yes, heat can be a stim. You can stim with any of your senses which includes your temperature sense.
