What are your thoughts on Gwen's lyrics about the wedding ring? Does this change your mind again about the marriage topic? It's like I go back and forth, but now I'm leaning toward no marriage again. Lol
I don’t really have a strong opinion and the lyric didn’t really change that. In part because Gwen was writing these songs 6 months ago and that’s a long time in a 2 year old relationship. And I remain torn because I can see them thinking the strength of their love is enough and they are committed forever so what difference will a signed document make. BUT I can also see them wanting that binding contract to show the world that they are a unit. And also I think as chaotic as they are they are also fairly pragmatic people (Blake especially) and marriage helps in some ways. But honestly neither side really is winning in my head. And lately I’ve kind of been feeling like I think marriage would be great bc it would show the world like yes this is serious and maybe it would inspire blake to talk about the kids more, etc. But those are reasons that only matter to me/us, fans who don’t know them in real life and have no real stake in the outcome. I have no idea if those are things that they even think about (I would guess mostly they aren’t).
A year ago I was SURE they were engaged, like the “wall art” post (twitter ate my answer to that message fyi)
I thought they were just waiting until the right time to announce their plans. And then that never happened.
My friend said something to me that really rang true. She said: “I feel like Blake wants to take his time and not f* things up this time, so he's trying to do everything right. And he might not always be there at home with Gwen but she's still happy so he's doing something right, and he's honestly with her so much and he lives in her house where she lived and made a family and memories with another man and he's still so happy."
This point made a lot of sense to me. And while it’s not as if they’re still dating, it might also be that they are so secure in their relationship that he is waiting until the timing is perfect and everything is lined up before he actually proposes and they get married.
On the other hand she was wearing a huge rock on her left ring finger at church today so maybe they’re already engaged and this speculation can finally end.
Or maybe it’s just a piece of jewelry and they’re planning to live as domestic partners/common law marrieds forever and that’s what it is.

I don’t really know! It definitely seems like using a wedding as the plot line for a video about settling down/making a life together is an indication that he does think of that as the next step. Especially including the kids in the video. Also LOVED the message that just because the bride and groom aren’t in their 20s doesn’t mean they can’t have a happily ever after and do all those newlywed things like building a house, etc. That to me was the most telling thing about how it might show us Blake’s state of mind. I mean he’s smart, and not new to the spotlight, he had to know that everyone would have the exact same takeaway: when is he gonna propose too? It was actually more Gwen’s reaction to the video, she seems pretty into the idea of marriage. (She always has but I thought maybe her perspective changed.) Though it’s not like she’d ever give him some kind of ultimatum like “if we aren’t married by 2018 it’s over.” But at the same time I think if it’s really important to her then Blake will give her what she wants.
This is really rambling and not that clear of an answer. Basically I guess I do think the video is a sign that they think of marriage as a next step, but also not a big priority bc they already have a marriage in every way other than a signed contract.
Also I never believe any article that doesn’t include a direct quote from Blake or Gwen themselves.
I was thinking too, do you remember in December 2015 Blake called himself single in a dumb tweet, and then said “before y'all start single means not married!!”

Poor Gwen, the ex finally has the boys, and Blake is away on business. She probably misses him and can't wait to see him Monday. I wonder if she has the boys for Easter or if they celebrated last weekend.
Blake got back to LA today.(thurs)💖And gword had the kids last weekend but Gwen got them back yesterday. (weds) So the whole fam will be together to do cute fam things for Easter. 🙏🏼🐰💖
I sometimes feel like Gwen is mooching off of Blake for example she's always using his private jet which I'm sure he pays for and is using him for connections. Like Gwen never went to the pre grammys party before until she went with Blake who had been there before with Miranda. I just feel like she uses his fame and money for perks in LA and OK (helicopter b&b etc.)
LOLOLOL. Thank you so much anon, I needed a good laugh. It’s been a week you know what I’m saying? Anyway, here’s some information to go against your alternative facts:
1. It’s not like Gwen had never flown private before she met Blake. She’s often flown private for gigs, etc. Just because she sometimes would lower herself to fly commercial with the rest of us peasants doesn’t mean it’s because she had to. And anyway have you ever noticed that “Blake’s jet” magically changes interiors sometimes? It’s because he doesn’t have one, he has a service that he uses that works like a time share, and for all any of us knows maybe Gwen bought a share for herself. Or maybe not but if Blake isn’t using his time why waste it? Do you think it bothers him?
2. Gwen has been to the Clive Davis party before... she’s been in mainstream music a lot longer than Blake or his ex, she didn’t suddenly come on the scene in 2015... And last year, she was the invitee, Blake was her plus-one. Her manager was being honored at the event and she is one of his most famous clients, so they wanted her there. (I’m sure they were super stoked to have both of them there though because look at that publicity wow). Gwen has been to all of the major social events in the fashion & entertainment industries. For instance, the VF party is even more prestigious, and btw Blake certainly wouldn’t have been there if Gwen hadn’t gone. But would we call that mooching? No, we’d call it a date.
3. I’m super sure that of all the glamorous opportunities Gwen has had in life, she thought, I need to find me a man who can treat me to the finest things rural Oklahoma has to offer. I’m tired of sailing through the Mediterranean on a private yacht, it’s time to up my game with a bed and breakfast in Middle America. I mean two weeks ago she was staying at the 4 Seasons New York, a 5-star hotel, but I guess that just wasn’t good enough. (I’m not trying to put down Oklahoma btw it’s just what a weird thing to be ‘taking advangtage’ of, especially since it must absolutely thrill Blake that she enjoys it so much.)
4. The point of number 3 is that Gwen has her own money. More than Blake, in fact. But I seriously doubt either of them care about that. In fact it’s a little obvious that they enjoy spoiling each other. And do you think Gwen thinks of it as mooching having Blake live (presumably rent free) in her $35 million mansion? No, because she wants him there. They’re life partners: it’s not her home anymore, it’s theirs. The other day when he was out running errands he was using “her” Yukon. Is that mooching? No, it’s sharing a family car. A helicopter is no different except that she probably never uses it without him.
5. I don’t know what connections you think Blake has in LA that Gwen wouldn’t have had on her own but...no. Actually Blake has gotten quite a bit of attention from Apple Music, and while some of it is because he is a huge star and one maybe 3-5 country people that non-country people care about, I have wondered if part of it was because the President of Apple Music, Jimmy Iovine, thinks of Gwen as a daughter.
But the difference is that instead of thinking “ew why is Blake mooching off of Gwen’s connections” I think, Oh my God it’s so adorable how they really have merged lives, their people are all interconnected and they have really built a life together, blending elements from both of their worlds. So maybe that’s why I laughed so hard at your concerns, (well aside from the idea of a woman worth $100million mooching off anyone) is that their interconnectedness and whats-mine-is-yours attitude is one of my favorite things about them.
I feel like I could see Blake and Gwen moving up towards Thousand Oaks. It's a big celebrity area (the Gretzky's live there) but more private then LA proper. And it has trees.
Yeah that’s the area I imagine them in too! Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills/Calabasas...up in there. Still close-ish to the voice & school and everything but not so in the center of things as BH. And like you said, more trees. Calabasas is right on the edge of the Santa Monica Mountains (I guess all these places are kinda).
Speaking of which, I’m kind of surprised Blake has never explored around there. It’s not the same kind of atmosphere as OK but still beautiful nature. I hope Gwen and/or the kids take him sometime.
You know what I loved about the Fallon interview was how Gwen knows Blake doesn't care for la, and wants to be in camo all the time, but it doesn't seem to bother her. They both just seem to make it work and manage to see each other as much as possible. I love how honest they are with each other. They are so opposite but everything makes sense when you see them together or hear them talk.
I think Gwen was speaking in hyperbole when she said he is miserable without the woods. 😂I mean, clearly, because he spends much more time in LA than he does in OK these days, because that’s where he lives now, and he’s the happiest he’s ever been. I think she just meant he doesn’t like going out to high end restaurants and A List parties and the other “Hollywood” things she used to do all the time. In context, the sushi restaurant they went to (per a Facebook sighting) was one of the most exclusive sushi bars in LA/West Hollywood, so she was saying he’s out of his element in that kind of place.
I do agree it’s so awesome how they make it work, though. But to me what is so incredible is that they have created a perfect setup for each other. They keep a home base in LA, because that’s where work, school, church, their daily life, is, but they make time for their second home in OK as much as possible, on school vacations and holidays and sometimes on weekends when the kids are with Gword. To me that’s completely the best imaginable scenario because Gwen loves Oklahoma but only a week or two at a time, and Blake is happy living with Gwen but gets to see his woods fairly often (especially bc he heads back for the weekend now and then as well). I personally think it’s incredible how well they’ve created a system that works for them and seems like it will be sustainable long term. (Especially once they have their forever home in LA which I imagine will have more land and nature for blakeee to play with than the current place).
