Blog Closing: Final Remarks
Since I’ve announced the closing of the blog I’ve had a few last minute requests. I’m quite baffled by them, honestly. I’ve had A LOT of ‘I respect your decision’ inbox messages. That’s a good thing because no one wants to feel like a prisoner in their own blog. As I write this I notice I have yet to receive a ‘Please don’t go’. With a blog that I’m doing for free and, at one point in time, happily I don’t matter to anyone. As long as I’m producing on my blog things are fine. When I put out MUNday things I only get one or two and they’re from the same 3 people (I love you and appreciate the kind gestures!).
I’ve posted different things and even told of my complaint of not receiving any words of affirmation. Not even from the person that requested it??
Believe me, I’m not looking for anyone to make me feel good about myself. It’s just nice to know I exist to people. To be given something so I can give back to you. This is a big factor into my final decision.
This blog had a good run for about 3 years. It’s time to close up shop and move on. I’m thinking of moving my writing so I’m not losing everything when I delete this blog. I haven’t decided, but I do know it will at least be password protected until I can make my best decision.
