yoo you can use pure henna but it probably wont go as light as you want/it might darken the chemical dye you apply after (if that's what u wanna do)

Thanks! Right now actually, i'm just using a hydrogen peroxide based hair lightener cream in my hair, but it's not changing the color at all. so, i put a bit more in (kinda scared for my hair) and i'm gonna wash it off in another 15 minutes and see if it does anything over night!
