Five ways to perogi but it gets progressively more unhinged
This was the first time having Polish perogis outside of Indiana. I would have to say that since the owner is Polish (instead of Polish-American) the perogis were much more authentic. As I've mentioned before in this blog, it's amazing at the variety of food available in Bali.
Hand made pierogis from scratch! I got up at 4 am the past few days so I made the dough & filling yesterday. I had fun rolling out the dough, cutting it into shape with the mouth of a drinking glass, scooping the potato filling in, sealing the opening, & then pressing it shut with a fork. The whole process was very satisfying. The filling is made from potato & sour cream with panfried garlic & onion.
