Something about this piece seems o f f to me
I think your underlying sketch might have been underdeveloped or lacking entirely. What I mean specifically by underlying sketch, is the sketch displaying your character’s body, in 3D space, under their clothes.
I looked at your drawing for a while and couldn’t quite pin down if you did draw everything up without visualizing the body underneath their outfit. Although, if you did, you might benefit from using a little more time on that specific sketch, as it would have ironed out some of the errors in the final piece.
Overall, my suggestion would be to spend more time constructing your character’s anatomy before you add clothing on top if it all. Knowing this underlying anatomy allows you to better place clothing on the figure and still have it look anatomically solid when you’re done.
Looking at the piece by itself, tells me that you have some grasp on anatomy already- you just have to get used to utilizing it more when constructing your figures.
