Iranian women disguising themselves in fake beards and wigs in order to watch their football team Perspepolis FC play. One of the women, Khaber Verzeshi said, "Our goal is to keep going until they allow all women to go. We are doing this to say to the authorities that if they don't let us in, we will keep going nonetheless, with or without beards."

Football fan Zeinab was one of the first Iranian women to disguise herself as a man to overcome a ban on females watching stadium matches

In an incredible photo essay in the Guardian, the photographer Forough Alaei illustrates the story of Zeinab, an Iranian woman who regularly travels hours by train and disguises herself as a man to attend Persepolis games, despite a national ban on women watching stadium matches.
