Man! I keep forgetting how much I adore getting lost in science books. I haven't had much time as of late, admittedly, to really just settle down and allow myself to revel in the words across the pages.
Or tune absentmindedly into the radio to use as background noise and just start reading from there. It was always such a hassle (in my head, at least, despite me being such an avid reader) to just pick up a book and start.
All the effort just seemed so unnecessary, ya know? Like it would go nowhere. I'd probably learn nothing and all my efforts would be thrown out the window and, promptly, fall into a dumpster to be whisked away into a truck, never to be seen again.
Turns out I didn't have to worry about that. Or even entertain the thought of worrying at all. Huge relief on my end, honestly. Very satisfied with the results. 5 stars. Credits to the chef (or, the author, in this case?). Whatever it is, I'm grateful for just being able to flick through the pages and sink into the feeling of just knowing something again...
