The Blood Opera Sequence by Tanith Lee
Personal darkness
Some people create a lot of darkness. Then they are drowning in it, wondering why there isn't any light.
I was laughing my ass off when I read Personal Darkness and I got to the scene where they're all doing that séance and Rachaela's doing it too, because everyone else was. Adamus is screaming at her from the other side and trashing the room and she is just giving him no response.
Parachute by Hayley Williams is a Ruth x Malach song
It's so frustrating that a character I love and a character I hate have the same name! Anna Scarabae (mother of Adamus) burn in hell! Every is your fault! Anna (Ruth) Scarabae, I love you so much!
I'm about halfway through Personal Darkness and I really hope Rachaela gets to lezz out with Althene. She needs to have sex for the sake of having sex and without it being about pregnancy. There is so much sexual tension between them.
"I mean I shall live with you," Althene said. "I hoped you realized this, and that was why you had come to meet me. Obviously, if not—"
Rachaela began to cry. The third time. The tears flooded out, and were ended.
"I gather it will be horrible for you," said Althene.
"I love you," Rachaela said. "Don't leave me."
They did not kiss after all, only embraced each other. Beyond the chauffeur and the men coming with the bags and a couple of cabin crew, there was no one to see. And these took them for sisters.
