Part 2 of retelling my MotW campaign! Here’s part 1
Okay so we run off back to the hotel. Fig runs off into the swamp because her player wasn’t there for this session. Ken gets Chief Porter and tells him about the Hill Billys in the swamp and how he got shot. Porter patches him up, gives him some painkillers and we’re off to bed. Claude feels bad about the whole thing so he sneaks into Kens room while he’s sleeping and uses magic to finish healing his wound. Once this happens however he hears someone outside the door. Claude panics thinking it Imogene (Chief Porters daughter and one of Claude’s students) and ghosts through the wall back to his room not wanting to get caught.
That night Ken has dream. He sees mist and violet eyes. And wakes up feeling terrible. Also? Wohn Jick might’ve seen the eyes while we were going back to the hotel? I know she sees them in the swamp at some point I just don’t remember when.
The next day Ken freaks out when he notices that his wound is all healed. He asks Wohn how long he was out for and she tells him it was only through the night. He doesn’t believe her but before he can ask anyone else Dale comes running out of his room yelling and asking who the hell took down the covers on his windows and saying that someone broke into his room. Wohn tries to explain that her and Fig had helped him out when he was freaking out yesterday but he doesn’t listen so she pins him against the wall and Ken knocks him tf out. Ken and Wohn argue about if it was right to go into Dale’s room and mess with his stuff while he was unconscious but Wohn doesn’t really care.
They wake up Dale and interrogate him as to why he had his windows covered in the first place. I’m p sure that Claude and Alpha were brought into the room by this point as well. Dale says that every night he dreams of violet eyes. He says that they come into his room through the windows under the door. Through any little crack and crevice in his room. He says that it goes into his body and burns his life away. It makes him feel sick and weak and is a lot of the reason why he drinks so much.
After this conversation Imogene approaches Claude and asks why he’s here. I don’t remember the excuse he gave but he then asks what Imogene’s opinion on Dale is. She says he’s fine and that he works at the church fixing the roof. She does say he sleep walks and she hears him walking through the hall sometime. Claude already knows that Dale locks his door every night which makes it very unlikely that he’s be able to get out and walk around the hotel. He asks if Imogene has ever seen him wandering the halls. She says no but he’s the only other person who really stays in the hotel other than her and her dad and she knows its neither of them so it must be Dale.
Another thing, Imogene is a very sickly girl. However today she says she feels better then she has in awhile.
We decide to spend the night in Dale’s room. We’re pretty sure that if “the eyes” go into his room every night then we should be able to catch a glimpse of whatever is really behind it. We spend the night in Dale’s room playing cards. We see nothing.
The next day when Dale wakes up he says he had the best night sleep he’s had in weeks. Needless to say the whole group is agitated that nothing happened but also slightly grateful? That is until we go get breakfast and learn that Imogene has fallen terribly ill. So sick in fact that she can’t even get out of bed. We go up to see her. It awkward. Slowly everyone goes downstairs to get breakfast. Claude stays behind and when he’s alone in the room he attempts to use magic to cure her illness. It fails and Claude panics and runs down stairs hoping he didn’t make it worse (I rolled fucking snake eyes Claude is amazing at magic I was pissed)
We didn’t really do anything that day and decided to spend the night at the hotel again. This time some of us stayed in the room adjacent to Dale and the rest of us stayed in the room adjacent to Imogene.
Imogene died that night.

So, I made my first game! It’s a text-based game, and was my final project for my game design class. I like how it turned out. I’m putting a link, and I’d really appreciate if people tried it out and let me know what they thought! It’s not necessary, but I’m curious for feedback.

Part 3 of the retelling of my MotW campaign I’m gonna tentatively call it Violet Eyes…
Part 1 Part 2
After Imogene’s death we weren’t all that sure what to do. Claude went up and searched through her room but found nothing of interest. Fig comes crawling out of the swamp at some point. Chief Porter’s sister or sister-in-law Hannah stopped by and informed us that she’d be staying at the hotel for a while to make sure Porter was alright. Dale ranted about how much he hated that the past two days he’s amazing while Imogene got sick and died. The party decided that we should go out and see Madame Vadoma. She’s an eccentric old woman who has an antique shop and she also does psychic reading.
