Going to dump Adobe next month. Cancel my annual Photoshop plan. It's too expensive and I'm not using it enough to justify it. Also, fuck Adobe. I mean I use it, but all my tasks could be done in Krita or something else.
Their recent updates have been really sucking lately anyways. They keep breaking shit. I'm wondering if this is the downstream consequence of firing their developers to try and replace with AI. If so, LOL.
But I've been using Photoshop for probably 20 years now. If I reeeeaaaalllly need it I can dig out my ancient copy of CS6. But I doubt it will be necessary. Or I can buy a month here and there as needed if I ever have the use case of needing to batch process stuff... Though I doubt it. And I can always use the machines at work.
It was convenient to port stuff over from Procreate. I'd just toss things over onto PS app and it'd get saved to the cloud. Plenty of workarounds though.
Flirting with trying Linux. Which I've never done before. But it's looking more and more enticing each time I have to waaaaiiiit for Windows 11 bullshit... Or go into regedit to customize a feature that used to have a toggle or an option in 10 but then they buried it.
My only concern is keeping my scanner software operating... The rest of my applications would probably work just fine.
