Not gonna lie, I totally wish I’d have had an anime phase as a kid to grow up drawing in that style and get a better sense of expression, proportions, etc.
I never had an anime phase. I had a ‘watches Animal Planet all day’ phase and drew nothing but animals until I was 18. Then I started drawing people (really badly drawn people) then took life drawing at now I draw ok-people in ‘my style’ whatever that is.
Now trying to catch up with humans I wish I could have had those years of trail and error done before now so I could move on to honing it. But now I’ve got to start from square one constantly and its annoying.
So yeah, I wanna draw better people and get better at hard cel shading.
