Laying down some 90s style Funk/Blues rock on my sweet little orange telecaster I finally finished.

I haven’t recorded music in 4 months because ive been too sick and tired, not to mention I havent made a post on this blog for its intended purpose in god knows how long so yee yee

Remember when this used to be a blog where I'd post my shitty music and decent-to-good writing?

Well today I was supposed to have my first class on zoom and the power went out exactly at the 7pm start time (it's still out)...

So I ended up writing an entire song, with an actual structure, instead. I've been learning my roommates old songs to help him record so it's given me some needed experience at structuring things.

The past few weeks have been the first time I've really played guitar again in almost two years--its been very rewarding.

Here's a short recording of the rough structure of the song I made so I could work on it further with my roommate later. It's much slower and shorter than the actual version, and I've added more and practiced about 1000 more times since, but it gives a general idea.

So six or so months ago I decided I'd try to video record myself dicking around when I make music because it's kind of strange that I've never been able to see from a third party perspective what the experience looks like, but I totally forgot about it until stumbled across this one on my phone earlier today, and hey it's pretty good 👌

Got a great goodwill thrift find today, my first midi keyboard. Finally after years I can make synth stuff and record playing the keys.

Some lo-fi unsettling spooky synth stuff here, peaceful and nice.
