The Broken Pattern: A Heart in the Chapel

Hi, yeah. (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡ I was chatting with a friend of mine about Hannibal (mostly just our favorite scenes), and I thought he was going to mention the Mizumono episode, the fall, or the bit where Will points a gun at Hannibal’s head, haha.

But it turns out we both prefer the Heart Scene. 🫀✨

Yeah, when Will goes to the chapel and Hannibal leaves him that bloody human heart. My friend likes that scene because of something Will says... and honestly, my ADHD makes it so hard to remember lines exactly (sorry guys, I'm rubbish at remembering them!), but I think it’s the one that goes: “A Valentine written on a broken man.” 🩹🩸

Anyway, I love that scene too. It’s lovely in the most tragic way possible. The way Will holds it, how he puts his hand on that heart and just... appreciates it? It absolutely kills me. (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠) 🌫️

It’s such a specialized form of torture to watch him touch that gift with so much care.

It’s a gift, a clinical representation of their bond that I can't stop thinking about. I’m so happy I found someone who shares this specific obsession with the chapel scene.

AND IT'S THE END! I liked the event, it was fun even if sometime I really was tired. But I think I will try again! For the witchsona, I was thinking about many days ago. I didn't know how to represent me as a witch. So I add some details to represent me. I often wear big cloths with my boots. I wanted to have cat accessories, so I put a hat in shape of cat. It could be magic to, like a big bag on my head. My hair could also be a bag. In reality, I can put so many things in it, it's a other dimension in my hair. So sometimes you can find pencil or other stuff in it. I wear a Labradorite! It is a collar I really have. Even if a don't trust into lithotherapy, I like gems. And in a magic world, I could trust into the power of stone. And then into the power of stars. I like astronomy, it's interesting and just beautiful to watch the night sky For the power I choose enchantment of object. I could charm things like clothes whom I could fly. I could animate objects like the hat for give them special effects, with the help of potions I used 0.05, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5

Don’t get me wrong, I love cosplay.

Don’t get me wrong, I love cosplay, I love to cosplay, and I’d like to think I’m quite good at it too. Just don’t get me wrong, but I sometimes also really hate it too.

I don’t mean that I hate spending money, sleepless nights, or anything like that. No, one of the things I hate about cosplay is that it makes me more self aware of myself. Not in the self-confidence in my body thing, I think I’m pretty good on that. The thing I hate about cosplay is that I can never find a character I can easily slip into.

As of now, I cosplay as 10 characters.

7 are male

1 is non-binary

2 are female (Given one is a character creator type).

None of them are Asian.

I am planning 5 new cosplays.

1 is a male

2 are... unknown....

1 is character creator type as well

and lastly, 1 is Asian.

You see where I’m getting at?

I have no problem with cosplaying outside of my own ethnicity (Korean Filipino) and gender (agender so I guess I dont really have a gender now that i think about it), but for once I would like to cosplay as more Asian characters in western videogames (since that is something that I generally do cosplay from).

But when I say that I sometimes hate cosplay it is because it makes me more self-aware, I’m mainly jabbing at the fact that there are no Asian characters for me to cosplay as in comparison to the amount of mainly white characters in western games. And yes there are Asian characters in Western videogames, but the aren’t enough. Some of the Asian characters are in games that I am not interested in, so I don’t cosplay from it, or their costume is way beyond my skill level and I pride in making everything myself.

Take for example the one Asian character I am planning, which is Kasumi Goto. She’s perfect and would be the first Asian character I will be cosplaying as, but I am having difficulty with making her bodysuit so I left it aside.

This is more like a rant if anything and this really bothers me whenever I plan on cosplaying new characters. I cosplay because I love the character and I enjoy knowing that I made the cosplay and I take pride in that.

But for once I would like to be able to represent a character through and through with ethnicity and feel like I am “with one” with the character.
