So someone just told me that if I don’t cut my parental figure who voted for trump out of my life, then I’m just as bad as a trump supporter. I want to let people know this is absolutely NOT THE CASE. Not everyone is in a situation where they can do that. Not everyone is in a situation where the want to do that. It’s a hell of a lot harder to drop people from your life than tumblr likes to believe. Listen, If you want cut someone out of your life that is a trump supporter, who is contributing to the current rise in hatred, that is totally okay. But if you want to keep your relationship to someone who voted for trump, whether out of desire or necessity, that is also totally okay. Your anger and fear at the current state of events is still valid and you are still deserving of love and protection.
