y’all casual transphobia is wild, one of my managers found my facebook and friended me and i didn’t really care but i came into work the next day and she was like “oh i saw all your old pictures on facebook from before... you know, and I just kept thinking how pretty you were!” which threw me off on so many levels cuz 1) she said that while guests were around (I work at a Joann’s fabrics) basically outing me to anyone who thought I was passing as a cis man. 2) I know she didn’t MEAN it as anything bad, she’s a very nice straight cis white lady who has “no issues” with LGBT people, but it still freaks me out when people say stuff about me pre transition in a PUBLIC SETTING.

And like.... sis.... if you had stopped and thought for one second if a trans person wants to hear your thoughts on how they looked pre transition, positive or not? you most definitely would have kept your mouth shut. and you DEFINITELY wouldn’t have said it in front of my customers that I am trying VERY HARD to pass in front of.
