Behold... The last sunset of 2023~ 🌠
Got these after being picked up from work, lol.
The clouds were sparkling today, so I’m feeling a little more shiny from the inside.
"We could just go home right now, or maybe we could stick around for just one more drink, oh yeah...
Get another bottle out, lets shoot the shit, sit back down, for just one more drink, oh yeah...
Here's to us, here's to love, all the times that we fucked up. Here's to you, fill the glass, 'cause the last few days have kicked my ass..!
So lets give 'em hell! Wish everybody well!.. here's to us, (here's to us)...
Stuck it out this far together, put our dreams through the shredder, let's toast 'cause things got better.
And everything could change like that, and all these years go by so fast... but, nothing lasts forever.
Here's to us, here's to love! all the times, that we messed up! Here's to you, fill the glass! 'cause the last few nights have kicked my ass!!!
If they give ya' hell! Tell em' to go fuck themselves! - Here's to us, here's to us...
Here's to all that we kissed and to all that we missed, to the biggest mistakes that we just wouldn't trade... Here's to us breaking up, without us breaking down, and whatever's comin' our way...!!!
Here's to you, fill the glass, 'cause the last few nights have kicked my ass!!!
Here's to us, here's to love..!
Here's to us..."

My word for 2016: Overwhelmed
“Overwhelmed” is often associated with bad things - and there was a lot. Some of these things are part of why 2017 is already looking grim. Personally, there were many times I found myself sobbing and broken-hearted and disappointed.
But one of its other definitions is “to cover completely, to overcome by superior force”, so I’m applying it to other times. The countless times when I laughed so hard I cried, or my side hurt, or my face was in pain from smiling. It’s the right word for when my heart felt like it would burst from happiness and when a surprise gesture made me cry because I was left speechless.
Good and bad, I was often overwhelmed in 2016.
My word for 2017: Progress
(I won’t say much here because life can be cruel and the opposite can happen when I get too hopeful for one thing.)
There are things I wanted this year that didn’t happen, either because they didn’t work out or I didn’t make enough effort. Next year I want to improve my life professionally and socially. I won’t aim for success, but compared to what happened (or didn’t happen) this year, I do want improvements.
I always read my horoscope every new year, but I don’t believe them
It’s now 2016! Days really fly so fast. And I did it again! I read again my horoscope for the year ahead. I think I’ll always do this for the next new years. I visited several sites and read the articles carefully, but I don’t actually believe them. Last year, I did not think again about what I read maybe after a week.
I think my research adviser would not be pleased if she heard that I’m reading horoscopes. I remember an activity she gave us in Physics 10 class. She asked the whole class to group ourselves by our astrological sign and gave a piece of paper containing a description about our personality based on our sign. We rate the description from 1 to 5, 1 if we do not agree and 5 if we strongly agree. If I remember, I gave the description a rate of 4. I forgot what ratings others gave. Then she asked us to exchange papers with other signs and we found out that it had the same content for all signs. This tells us that horoscopes are made in a way that would most likely fit for everyone.
I started reading horoscope just for fun with the thought that horoscopes are not real. In Tagalog it is called hula, a guess. Why would someone rely his/her fate on a guess.
But I like what I read. Most of them are positive. I like to believe in them. It somehow gives me hope that this year will be a good year for me. I just realize this as I write this post, maybe this is the purpose of horoscopes, to give hope especially for those who doesn’t believe in their own knowledge and skills that they can make every year a positive year for every aspect of their lives without knowing their ‘fate’.
I am a modern woman, but I think this would still be a personal tradition.
October 1st tradition: add the Halloween playlist (that features songs and radio shows from before my parents were even born) to my iPod.
It's the first day of October which means I'm watching The Exorcist on repeat all damn day.
