Friends being assholes

I guess I’m glad that I learned at a younger age that it’s not cool to treat your friends like shit because you like someone. By 20 years old I guess not everyone knows how to balance the two. I just think its shitty when people blow off long time friends, stop answering calls, can’t stop talking about a relationship when you actually do see them. Then when the person they’re so infactuated with isnt around as much, they expect you to begin where you left off. And you do, because you’re actually a genuine friend. But my friends are something I cherish and would never again push off to the side for someone that is potentially going to leave. Because i’m lucky to have found out who stuck around. But maybe its just how some people always are. Maybe they do it knowingly they just dont care. Maybe its just me but humans are selfish
