where did the time go?
Lucifer blinked in confusion. He'd heard the first man and the first woman were fighting and decided to prove he could help with Eden. But they didn't seem to fight like a marriage in trouble, rather, it reminded him of how he fought with Sera.
"You took my plum!"
It was dumb.
"That's because you took my mango!"
Really dumb.
"I'm going to lick all the grapes, let's see what you do then!"
It was like he was watching a set of siblings squabble over who had the larger piece of ambrosia, which was always Sera! It wasn't fair.
"THAT'S NOT FAIR!" Adam yelled and stomped his foot.
"There's plenty of fruit," Lucifer interrupted, the argument a little too familiar for his own comfort.
The pair looked over to him in slight confusion. Their eyes looking him over for familiarity.
Adam's face turned red, he dropped the food he was holding and turned to the jungle, muttering under his breath and storming off into it.
Lilith watched him go and was overcome with delight, letting out a soft giggle and gave a tiny clap of her hands.
Lucifer didn't know what to do. He kind of just came down from heaven with a grant idea of fixing the first human's marriage and then having Sera tell him he did a good job. There wasn't an actual plan and this wasn't close to how he pictured it going.
Turning her attention to him, Lilith came up to him. She grasped him by the jaw and looked deep into his eyes, before smiling and nodding. Her cool voice sent shivers down his spine, "oh that is hilarious!"
"Wh-what?" Lucifer stuttered out.
She grabbed him by the arm and dragged Lucifer off into the bush. "Come on, let's torture my brother."
"Brother? Lucifer exclaimed in surprise. "Adam is your husband!"
Lilith stopped short and turn her face to him. Her nose was scrunched up in disgust. "Ew. That's gross. Besides, he likes you. So let's go."
Lucifer stumbled along the path, not quite use to walking. "What?"
"Come on. Bet, we can really get him to turn red if we paint your lips with berries and fluff your hair. Adam says those things would look cute on me if I wasn't his sister and a gross girl."
He didn't know how to say no. What did he get himself involved in??

Adam's developing a crush, Lilith thinks it's funny, and Lucifer is so confused.
Bro oh my god I love onesided a1p1 THINK ABOUT IT ……
Assim and Andre were LITTERRALY made for each other (which is why I guess I can understand a1p1 but this is important for my next point) but assimilation can understand and actively acts more than their programming while Andre fights to stay within it (despite knowing he can as seen in the information pannel (idk the names) that was see in gridworld. You could argue— “but microwave if he did derive from his programming in that one what’s stopping him from doing it again? Doesn’t tha disprove your point?” NO ! That’s where you’re wrong! Because that was one out of 400 rounds and also the very first round, where, since then, the Admins have most likely changed or updated his code to avoid that outcome. (I believe this as the Andre we know doesn’t try as hard to find a way out of the system, more going with the flow; unlike assimilation.)
now why do I think it’s onesided on assims part then? If they changed Andre’s code surely they would’ve changed assims to be something similar so they wouldn’t try to escape, right? Well that’s where I think you’re wrong. For any ‘escape’ to be even attempted I believe both parties would have to be working together as assimilation would have no motivation to do so if not to help Andre, as there would be no ‘player’ to assimilate and nothing to even start the story. (As well as the fact that they are a pair and one would not exsist without the other) Sorry kinda lost the topic there. But I think that changing assimilations code would be pointless then because as long as they can’t convince Andre to leave then it’s fine and dandy! (We kinda see this in the round(s) that happen in the video, but with a little bit of detours into grid world which helps with LORE !!! 🤤🤤🤤) Okay yeah that’s really it I think …. I’ll probably rememeber more later (oh yeah, but also, have you read assimilation dialouge?????? )
This is real, trust me, I DID get harassed by Billy Lenz through the phone last week and I HAD to draw it / real source: me. ❤️

No no no ok one of the fascinating things about And Another Thing by @coralflower-ao3 is that by virtue of the parameters set by the fic Ryuk ends up taking a kind of ex-lover limbo status
Like the way that love is expressed in this fic is 1) obsession 2) death 3) ownership, right. And Light and L are freely giving and taking these things for each other (just because they want to), BUT one of the things that drives L up the wall is that he doesn't have any claim to Light's Last Death. Because it's one of the last things that belongs to Ryuk.
But Ryuk was there first!!
He used to have the ability to be there TWENTY FOUR SEVEN before Light started ACTIVELY rejecting the death note and therefore Ryuk's ownership. One of the first things Ryuk ever said to Light is "your death belongs to me". And, if you read anything past the original manga canon, it's absurdly clear that Ryuk is exactly the same amount of obsessed with Light as L and Light were with each other - unwilling to give up his own life for the other's, but will consequently spend the entire rest of his existence mourning.
But in And Another Thing (and possibly canon) it's one-sided, and that's where Ryuk gets relegated to the sidelines. Light doesn't want him there as badly as Ryuk wants to be there. He's already giving everything he has to L. So instead Ryuk clings to the last vestiges of claim he has to Light (his final death, and whatever he can manipulate for entertainment) and wonders all the while if even holding onto this much is a mistake.
Gaaahhhhhhh everyone go read this fanfiction I swear to Goodddddddd.
