My grandma just called me to ask for a book rec and this is the moment I’ve been waiting for!!! Someone literally asking me to tell them a good book to read. Naturally I told her to read Beartown (and then Us Against You obviously) and she immediately went and bought it on her kindle and I cannot wait for her to finish it so I have someone in real life to talk to about these beyond amazing books!

And then, when she loves it, which she no doubt will, she’ll tell all her old lady friends to read it to! And when my mother and sister ask her for a book rec she’ll tell them to read Beartown (because obviously no one listens to my opinions and recommendations but if it comes from good old Nana then it must be good 🙃) and they will. And more and more people will come into the light and read Beartown and fall in love with Benji Ovich and maybe some of them will have tumblrs and join the fandom and be talented artists and writers and will want to put their skills towards creating Beartown content and then I’ll finally have Benji Beartown fanart and fanfics and metas and people to scream with

So I collect Funko Pops right ...and there are some I refuse to unbox ...for example I have the whole Losers club that took me FOREVER to find (especially Mike and Stan what’s with that?!?!) but I’m debating buying a second set just to have them all out of the box ...someone tell me I’m on crack and don’t need to do this

Anyhow! 

1- My art       -My art, in a sense, has been my sort of “identity” in a sense, even if I don’t make it often and I’m not “popular”. I usually pour my heart into a piece, or have a reason for it, whether I’m bored and wanna mess around or I’m making it for a friend of mine that I deeply care for. I also use my art sometimes to cheer others up- I’ve done this with teachers, online friends, and plan to start doing it a bit in my own school (as much as I can- I’m not gonna stick it up on walls!). My art’s important to me, and one of the things I like about myself.2- My eyes       -I think I only say this because I have such weird eyes. I’ve heard people call them green, blue, blue-gray, hazel, and I’ve seen multiple photos where my eyes look closer to a brownish gray! They’re a blue-gray, if anyone wants to know what it actually is. Though I think I have some brown the closer you get to my pupil. I’ve also described it to myself as “looking into the bottom of the ocean, or at least a pool with sand at the bottom for some strange reason”. I like em a lot.3- My autism       -Okay okay okay. This is a weird one, I know. But, as other autistics explain it, it really makes me me. It’s why I care for everyone so hard, even people I probably haven’t spoken a lot to. It’s how I can ramble on and on about things that don’t matter and advice and really really really deep fucking shit in just one conversation. People (cough cough allistics cough cough) don’t like it when I say it makes up so much of my personality but at the same time, I don’t think anyone can see me any other way. It’s a part of me that was a secret to me for most of my life (not that i didnt know of, a secret- my parents told me about 4 years ago about me being autistic), and that I’m trying to be proud of. So, that’s another thing I like about myself.4- My hair       -I like this part about myself just because I’ve done such wild shit to my hair. 3 years ago I had long hair, two years ago I had slightly shorter hair that had dyed strips, a year ago it was pretty short but I could still slightly put it into a manbun thing, and now I can’t even do that either! It’s how I’ve expressed myself a lot, honestly, especially these past couple years. 5- My,,, bird-owning skills???       -I haven’t had my bird (cockatiel, Owen) for long- only like a week or so. But I’d like to say that we’ve gotten really close if that makes sense??? He’s apart of a lot of my conversations and thoughts, and like, I had to put him here somewhere. akdjfakldf.
