summer slim down challenge 2015
so my gym is offering this 6 week slim down challenge.
i decided to sign up as i haven't really been going regularly for ages and need to get back into the habit. i always find it easier to follow a programme rather than go to the gym and wander around aimlessly wondering what to do.
my fiancé (sorry i love saying that :)) signed up with me to encourage each other and hopefully form some healthier habits for when we move in together next year.
there are prizes up for grabs plus me and andrew have our own bet just to keep us on our toes and focused.
i will try keep a record up here about what i do and how i feel after so i can look back and see how far i have come in 6 weeks.
we had to set goals and my goal was to fit comfortably in my smaller work jeans. (side note- i should take a pic in them now and do a before/after).
so the challenge is based on 6workout days a week. 2 cardio, 2 arm and 2 leg. there is also a day when the whole group comes together and does stuff.
not gunna lie i am so pumped for this.
i’ll keep you posted :)
TL;DR i am starting a 6week challenge at the gym and probably gunna die but i’ll keep you posted
I recently discovered this photo. I avoided full body pictures at all costs and this is why. I guess at least I have a starting weight picture now! So this is the same jacket. When my mum bought it for me it was so tight I could barely do it up. She wanted me to go a size up but I refused to get a XXXL. So we settled for the XXL. Two years later it's baggy, does up with ease and I can even wear two sweaters underneath if I need to. I am embarrassed looking at that first photo but also so proud. I have actually achieved something I never thought I could. Nothing like a bit of self inspiration to keep me motivated.
Drunkkkkkkk
Woohoo
Another 2.25km run today in 15 minutes :)
Progress is progress no matter how small :)
So I had my after bootcamp assessment last night and I have gone from 43.1% body fat to 37.1% :)))))) and I have lost 4cm from my chest and added 3cm to my booty :))))))))
Ran 2km yesterday. Running is actually kinda fun once you get past the "I hate this" stage :)
was in the supermarket bending to reach a box for my groceries and a man comes up and says “you shouldn't do that”
i was like “whaaaat?” (i thought he was gunna say don't take the boxes from the display)
he replied “don't bend over, guys will get the wrong idea” and winks at me.
guys will get the idea that i don't wanna pay for a plastic bag???
