professional piercer here, yes if you're not careful your nipple can be pulled off. it's just the nipple though, not your areola so it isn't the full thing lmao. also if you're not careful with the piercings they can get super infected and you could risk getting something we call an "embedded piercing" not fun. reminder to clean your piercings gang and to NOT switch them out until they are healed completely.

i am not a nipple expert and therefore am bound to be wildly wrong but i feel like losing the nipple and not the areola is worse than losing both??? idk, it just really seems like an all-or-nothing part of the body. the nipple is not a spectrum.
