i haven’t watched that much rick and morty so this mighty’ve been done before: Rick destroys the earth, and Morty goes back in time to prevent it, but this causes a time loop where Morty keeps going back to try and change things only to cause it.

yeah, something similar did happen. except it wasn’t time travel cause the creators don’t like time travel stories. when rick fucks up the world, he just goes to a different dimension where he didn’t fuck up the world, which is what happened in one of the episodes. Thanks so much for responding, though! I wasn’t thinking that anyone would.
