I think that, other than the disgusting leftist wanna-be philosophers, the thing that is keeping AI generated content from actually taking off is the laziness some people have regarding it. Like, just because the AI is able to do amazing things on it's own does not mean you do not have any more work to do.

Take this youtube series for example,

When Craft1979 came out (antis weren't so annoying back then) everyone was saying "Oh, this is what the Minecraft movie could've been!" and it's not just because of the aesthetics, there were conscious choices taken by LatentDiffusion that massively improved the quality of the series.

For example, when Steve does things, it is meant to be relatable! It's not just the guy doing things robotically (like how AI would do if prompted incorrectly,) the guy clearly hesitates! When he has to kill his first animal, he feels bad about it! When he has to enter a cave, he's visibly scared!

There are also some relatable references to the original product, in small things such as the tree staying afloat or Steve digging himself to sleep in his first night.

And even then massive ammounts of effort were spent editing, colour correcting, doing sound design...

AI is not the job, AI is the tool used to do it! Without AI, this would've been impossible for a random guy like LD to do, and would've have taken a budget of AT LEAST a few tens of thousands. And that's why I will always advice AI artists not to just prompt and paste, you have to put in some more effort if you don't want to be just another among millions of AI artists.

I LOVE that the only reason non-queer people care about genderfluidity is because of funny haha gender water memes and that bisexuality is reduced to just "being gay sometimes" :D I LOVE that when many queer people think about genderfluidity they think it means being tomboyish one day and girly the other even tho they are the ones that say gender presentation != gender identity :D

during covid, the J&J vaccine killed a very small number of people due to rare side effects. the decision was made to pull the J&J vaccine and stop distribution of it, despite the almost certainly larger number of people who would die of covid while waiting for another vaccine dose.

this is a real life trolley problem! we decided to let more people die of covid instead of killing a smaller number due to side effects. and there are considerations other than abstract moral philosophy at play - legal ramifications, questions about faith in drug companies and the medical system, etc etc. but to everyone who says "well obviously everyone would pull the lever", sometimes people en masse decide to let the trolley run over the bigger group!
