glimpse to the past

“Ninja?”

It was hot. Sweltering. Suffocating. The heat and fumes were harsh, in no way was it nurturing or safe. The oven was truly a scary place. The only thing that kept Ninja calm was the voice of cookie who called his name. “Yeah?” he responded, turning his gaze all he could. It was unadvised to move while you were still baking.

The cookie seemed just as uncomfortable as Ninja, but did their best to keep a reassuring smile for Ninja. “Do you think we’ll be able to escape soon? I.. I see other cookies’ legs starting to burn to the pan.” Both Ninja and his friend looked out to the other cookies suffering as much as they were. Some were groaning and some were strained out of fear for their lives.

“..of course. I could see it no other way. You and me escaping, along with the rest of these cookies. I told you before, I’m going to do what I can to make sure you and all of us escape. It’s been done many times before and I’m not letting it happen this time either. Or any other time for that matter. Because you and I are going to be helping with escapes, for all the future cookies that don’t need to suffer something worse than this.”

His friend’s smile seemed less forced when Ninja spoke honestly. “...yeah. You’re right. I’m sorry.. I think the heat is starting to get to me.”

“Me too. But that probably means that we’re more than halfway there. We need to get ready, Evergreen.”

As far as hobbies go, when Fire Spirit’s alone he makes little fire pets to play with to keep himself from getting too lonely.  But since they’re technically him it’s only to pass time, he finds no amusement from it.

Ye the only thing that really would bother me is if arceus or other super duper legends are caught, but my scientist oc dr. cottonwood LITERALLY has a cloned deoxys as a son so idgaf

yeah pretty much. like arceus and really any super major legendary are the only (or some of the "fairy legends", like maybe mew??) ones I can see there being a big issue with being caught

but even then i could in theory see like a tiny kidlet ho-oh being caught? or something like that? just not.. like, big scary adult ho-oh. same for pretty much all other major/important legendaries. younger and generally less important members of those species? sure why not maybe some human ended up finding a lost baby reshiram or something and decided to take care of it that's cool

but like, not the alphas of the species or anything (uh i can't remember if i really explained this to you yet buuuuut, the pokerp verse has the alpha concept, which is basically; alphas are the "main" individuals of the species. so like, the alpha dialga is the dialga that the flow of time relies on and shit like that. basically the alphas of important species are the ones that actually tend to DO the important stuff. alphas of minor legends are less important but still yeah. alpha legends are like a no-go for being caught)

..but to be fair, i like the idea of even if alpha legends shouldn't be caught, some might find a human that they help out and trust and just kinda casually be like "yo you're like my human-buddy. i like you."

aCTUALLY THAT'S PROBABLY HOW SOME OF THE INSTANCES OF HUMANS BEING BLESSED AS CHAMPIONS HAPPEN. I BET SOME MAJOR LEGENDS THAT CAN'T REALLY AFFORD TO BE CAUGHT, BUT STILL END UP TRUSTING A HUMAN FOR WHATEVER REASON, INSTEAD GO "ALRIGHT YOU'RE MY CHAMPION NOW YO"
