I think the thing that gets me about the age of consent, age of majority, age to drive, drinking age and smoking age. all of these ages are so arbitrary
It's like the implication is, "now this person is suddenly able to navigate this new thing. they have all the tools to be ready for full access!"
and like....no? it sets youth up for failure by setting the promise that they'll have certain skills and abilities by a certain age. when the only age related barrier that is actually taught and tested is driving!
if we're saying youth will be ready for certain responsibilities at a certain age, why aren't we providing education and testing to be sure?! especially if we are saying these things are important or dangerous enough to need limitations
it sets youth up for failure because they're being told they're ready just by virtue if having existed long enough, and then they walk into situations where they're only able to learn about harm and safety the hard way and getting trauma along the way
there should be educational classes and harm reduction practices for everything. sex ed should be available for anyone at any age. it should have special classes on consent and negotiating and how to interpret your body's feelings + urges and how to identify boundaries and etc. same for all drugs and anything else that comes with risks of long term harm/repurcussions
A woman just complimented my "Don't Cry, Craft" shirt and then told me about crafts she's making and I didn't know how to tell her it's a Dan and Phil shirt so I was just there like this
as a cisBlack person I find myself suddenly craving a connection with a transBlack person. I feel like we'd both understand each other in unexpected ways. cause like, I grew up in a white neighborhood, went to a white school(until I was home-schooled in 6th), and went to mostly white churches
I'm used to being an odd one out when it comes to being around my own people. and it sucks so much, it's so shitty
so like, what if me and that other person, we took the journey together? exploring and sharing about the stupid embarrassing moments to someone else to actually gets why it sucks so much, and reassuring each other that it gets easier if we just keep at it. watching black media together and being able to just relax and enjoy it as our honest selves without worrying about people thinking we're not black enough for it when we have to stop and google something or take a break cause it's too hard and heavy to watch
and I could be a mentor too in a lot of ways. explaining the nuances of racism that you only clock when it's being directed at you, showing how you can have those "black moments" where something happens and you just connect over it with only a look, practicing aave
I dunno. maybe it's silly. but it seems like it could be really good for both of us
but also I'm likely to encounter a lot of racism that they haven't unpacked yet and may be hard to reconcile because their race assigned at birth /will/ be relevant in the specific conditioning they received with anit-black racism. so they probably will never want to hear it and it would be a whole thing and I dunno if I have the energy to deal with that all the time. which wouldn't really be fair to them either tbh, cause everyone deserves to learn at their own pace. but I can't stomach being around that shit if someone isn't able to own the mistake and apologize for it

about
Neurodivergent traumagenic(possibly mixed) system with an addictive personality to anything that promises relief. Enduring unmet support needs
Currently surviving the best I can while starting a new life. Been healing from a pile of trauma. It's an uphill climb, but worth it. I have WAY more stability now than I did a year ago. and joy. Especially thanks to this blog and being in such incredibly accepting communities
I love collecting labels. Diving into new parts of myself. Transitioning to the life I deserve. Chasing my own happiness. And supporting others on the same journey. Special interest in morality and consent
I was sexually active at an earlier age than most and I'm chronlogically older than most of you. My traumas have trauma, my kinks have kinks, my neuroticies have symptoms. Not here for drama, just self exploration amongst those doing the same

contact stances:
my personal behaviour is generally summed up as "non-harmful" or "fully-consentual" however those are in quotations for a reason. because those terms can have a very wide definition and make a lot of presumptions that are often ageist or speciesist. I'm a person who's invested in personal growth that is trauma informed and intersectional. that continuous growth informs the ways I respect the autonomy and choice of all beings I have direct contact with while remaining aware of potential power dynamics
the simple truth is that youth can consent to far more than people want to believe if given the chance, yet I also understand current shared reality and have no interest in causing harm to a youth (nor getting myself hurt in the process), so I generally operate with caution
where I stand on aam+map relationships in a general sense. and yet in reality I support ANY couple that comes to me for help, giving advice to help mediate conflict and ensure a healthy connection as possible is reached. if a relationship ends I do not pick sides and continue to support both
animals are also far more intelligent than people tend to give them credit for. however I haven't written up my nuanced thoughts on that yet, nor seen a post that represents my understandings. just assume it falls under this vague umbrella of respecting other beings and their ability to live a life worth living without being so speciest as "animals are too dumb to understand human things"
#politic: stances, refuting propaganda, education on basic rights and how to bring about a better future, #youthlib, #persy stance
#discourse: intra-community conversations that feels important to have here
misc: #cute for things I enjoy but flip the dynamic, #star things that stand out

• This blog is a safe space for all my fellow weirdos and freaks out there. anyone that society loves to hate or shame. addicts, conflicting identities, factitious or malingering disorders, medically unrecognised disorders, mogai, loim, qai, furries, xenogenders, transIDs, "scary" personality disorders, (dark) k1nksters, (dark) proship/profic, paraphiles, radqueers, radfreaks, radeviance, xenosatanist, yanderes, fleur, etc etc etc. come one and come all, no matter what you call yourself. I choose to trust every single one of you that your personal identity is in good faith and exactly what you need
Not a space for those who are knowingly causing non-con harm w/ no intention of change this includes those who ignore RACK or the concept of risk aware informed consent. this includes those in a position of power who knows the other person has different intentions for the relationship than you do & they don't know that. this includes lashing out at people for not being who/what you need them to be, this does not include those in active recovery - DM if you need help growing/evolving
• anyone can DM or send asks
• I am unbothered by being ghosted
• I'm happy to answer questions about any of my IDs, experiences or posts that you would like to understand better
• if you are in need of help please reach out if you would like me help you explore options and show you resources to gain more agency over your life. I have been there. my friends have been there. and my whole career is helping people feel accepted and valued as themselves while they figure out how to reach their goals, most of them have very few resources. you don't have to dox yourself in order to recieve help. I will never call the authorities on you or report you to anyone, not tumblr, not the fbi (I am usa based but will do what I can to find what's relevant for you)
• minors please be mindful in my inbox. I love giving advice and support, but please no heavy flirting
• If you see a reblogs from overlapping/antagonistic communities it's cause I still don't know what everything means and where we are aligned. Feel free to *gently* educate me
• Can't believe I have to add this one, but following or reblogging someone is not endorsing all their behaviour. kill the cop in your mind, association is not a crime
DNI: being in support of cops/ice/industrial prison complex/etc. this includes those who have related transID and planning to transition into law enforcement law enforcement not in the shared meatspace may be okay, depends on source
self IDs that understand it is a (trans)Harmful identity and therefore requires care to consentually enact get a pass. local militias directly defending the people get a pass. I'm side eyeing if you report people on social media sites for any reason but spam, but I won't ever say anything against you for it
apparently I need to add to my list of youth contact, "I'll pretend to be your legal guardian to get you access to things"
because chronoMinors can't access therapy on their own and that's the biggest piece of bullshit I've ever heard. why the fuck can't anyone self advocate for the care they need?!???
just blocked a person for putting needless racism on my dash. I can't stand seeing that shit
if you genuinely think racism against black folk is on the same level of white folk, then know I think very little of you
let black folk be angry when people only care about white victims while we've been getting systematically harmed for centuries. we deserve to be angry when people show they don't care when we die, what the hell
if you don't think we deserve our anger, then know that I think very little of you
Consider this some rent lowering gunfire. I care far less about popularity than my own mental safety of having to encounter nonsense like that. stay the fuck away from me
kinda miss the rush of digitally stalking a person and finding a new account
scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and catching up on all the things happening in their life that they never told me
using that information to daydream about all the moments I've missed. to have more data about them to make my fantasies together feel even more real. to envision myself next to them in that picture, knowing it's where I deserve to be....
to secretly reach out as not myself. to talk to them once again. to give them the praise and try and make them happy in ways they deserve. the ways we could have for real if only they'd give me a chance.....
