Waters Rising
Happy to see one of my drone photos used to announce the next exhibition at Perth Museum: Waters Rising, an exploration of how flooding and climate breakdown have impacted Perth and Kinross, Scotland, and the world. The exhibition will open on 8 November 2024 and will feature some of my work (photos and videos).
Length 4ft 6”. Girth 28 1/2” weight 64 lbs. on the 7th October 1922 on the Glendelvine beat of the River Tay and after an epic battle. The UK record salmon was captured by Georgina Ballantine. PD Malloch tackle shop@made a cast of the fish and it was donated to Perth Royal Infirmary to feed to patients. I have had a passion for art from my early years. It is something I have great interest in and love to do to relax and in school. I am very interested in the way other artists work and the environments they create their wonderful pieces in. As I am possibly considering a career in art and hoping to attend a brilliant art school in Scotland, I see this as a great opportunity to expand my views and experiences in the art industry. I have worked very hard this year and my teachers says I have made huge progress in drawing and painting – I have been working in portraiture so would be very interested to look at Alison Watt’s work and that of other artists. I believe this experience will expand my views and experiences with different art styles and techniques. It will also give me deeper understanding in the way different artists work and hopefully inspire me to create more paintings and drawings for my own portfolio based on 1930’s glamour.
