Greetings from another beautiful spot in Scotland. The Royal Navy sent frigates here in 1719 to snuff out Jacobite’ whowere camped out in the castle. Cannon fire from the ships made little impact on the 5ft walls but eventually the castle was seized and government soldiers found a large stash of dynamite, that was used to blow the castle up. It lay in ruins for over 200 years before restructuring and restoration took place. Length 4ft 6”. Girth 28 1/2” weight 64 lbs. on the 7th October 1922 on the Glendelvine beat of the River Tay and after an epic battle. The UK record salmon was captured by Georgina Ballantine. PD Malloch tackle shop@made a cast of the fish and it was donated to Perth Royal Infirmary to feed to patients.
