That's awesome! I honestly don't know how to use tarot, I only know that persona arcana and real tarot have different meanings altogether

YESSS i should do that too omg, i have way too much with symbolism and parallels *v* and actually the ‘real’ tarot meanings are a lot like how they’re portrayed in the persona games - I’ve actually found the social links to be really helpful and definitive.. iterations? of the major arcana

for instance, junpei represents the magician card in p3, which symbolizes positive, productive energy; creativity; success; and using your skills and determination to realize your dreams. his character starts out as the reversed meaning of that card, which is basically like having all the potential/energy inside of you but having absolutely no idea how to use it properly, so it results in things like insecurity, restlessness, and self-doubt.

I feel like his social link was a really great transition from the reversed magician to the beautiful confidence of the upright card!! he started out as an angry kid with no direction or purpose. By rank 10 he was confident and fully committed to the team’s cause. He loved and trusted himself enough to face old ghosts head-on, and genuinely believed he was capable of making a difference, and was just... radiating the joy that comes from knowing exactly what you’re doing. to me, that was really special and beautiful. 

ok i didn’t realize i’ve written a book but i love talking about tarot symbolism hahaha <3 I could pretty much go on for days about some of the other characters like Ryuji and Rio as The Chariot, Akihiko as The Star, and Fuuka as The High Priestess. but you see what I mean!
