In an age when timelessness is measured by the number of likes, and the most memorable thing in our lives is the last Cat(s)-related Video we watched on our FB news feed, one could say that the closest thing to literary eternity for 21st century writers is to go viral. A couple of years ago these lines by Spanish poet Ben Clark took over la Internet. Bloggers and trollers started interpreting and using this poem in the most 'unliterary' (read: mass culture-like/non-arty-sublime) fashion: inserting it in memes, debating its meaning in Yahoo Answers, using it as formulaic tweet-reply. It all goes down to the PERVASIVE question of: What's the place of poetry in La Internet?!?
